WOW, epic price tag on that. Maybe you almost broke even on a build like this? Probably not, but cool to see such a nice car fetch a handsome price.

Re: 1.9 TDI into 90q: resurrection and for sale

Glad to see its back on the road and you are enjoying it. Bring it back to Carlisle :D

I would 100% bring it this year except I have baby #2 arriving around the first of May.

#2! Congrats! That is exciting stuff :)

Thank you! It is very exciting. He is here, and he is great!

Re: 1.9 TDI into 90q: resurrection and for sale

Nice to have a more efficient option these days...and a fun one to boot! Do you still have the TDI Tacoma?

Those 600+ mile tanks are really nice right now!

I don't have the TDI tacoma. Halfway through building it I decided I wanted something bigger so I can haul my tractor around, so I sold it ...

Re: 1.9 TDI into 90q: resurrection and for sale

Well, this car is too cool, and I have really enjoyed driving it getting it ready to sell. I actually had it sold, but had to back out because I decided I need to keep an old audi in my life. Will sell me other daily driver and this old girl will help me beat the prices at the pump!

Re: 1.9 TDI into 90q: resurrection and for sale

I am getting close to wrapping up the resurrections on this old girl. Put some miles on it last night, drove it over the mountain in the snow. Wow, I really remember why I love this car. Tons or flickable torque and classic old audi snow manners.

It has been awesome to get this old girl back into ...

Re: 1.9 TDI into 90q: resurrection and for sale

Got a break in the cold this weekend, so I scrubbed and pressure washed the entire interior, seats and all with Spray 9, which works great. I put the interior in my friends firewood kiln overnight to dry.

Then I scrubbed and washed/wet vacuumed the entire interior. This car probably hasn't been ...

Doing a little deep cleaning after sitting for a few years. It feels good to get this old girl back into shape. Will will surely be ready for sale by tax return time. All refreshed and ready to drive anywhere.

Re: 1.9 TDI into 90q: resurrection and for sale

This car is FINALLY back in my shop after a LONG hiatus. Got it all washed up and have the engine re-assembled and ready to stab back in. It will be ready for sale in the early spring, maybe even by winter.
I didn’t know you were selling .

Re: Tacoma TDI project

I finally finished this project. I told myself I just needed to get out there after baby bedtime a couple nights a week, and work during naptime on the weekends, and I made a lot of progress over the last year. I found getting this engine bay to look good and be functional a bit of a challenge, but ...

Re: Tacoma TDI project

Well, over a year has past, and I have made some progress on the truck again. Turns out having a kid takes a lot of time. I was able to start working on my house again this summer, finished off the basement and started tackling finishing out the downstairs. I can see the light at the end of the ...

Re: 20vt B3 (The Bandit)

i have a 4'x8' sheet of 1/4" steel plate for my work table. It takes a beating really well. Haven't really wished it was thicker, but I would probably do 3/8" if I was to do it again. 1/2" would be overkill IMO.

looks pretty awesome for 5psi, how far to you intend on taking the power? That sound is fantastic, a single turbo v8 urs6 avant has been a fantasy build for me, even more so that I have a kid now.

thats pretty unbelievable. I know the videos dont do it justice. I'm sure it has more in it with better suspension setup, but even so, it is amazingly composed. What other legit street car is running under 10 seconds and making it look that easy.

Re: Tacoma TDI project

That looks sick . I tried doing that on my cooling pipes and it’s definitely time consuming .
There is a local guy I met here who does professional metal work , he does full hot rod exhausts that way , tig welded polished stainless and it looks seamless. Crazy .

These are really handy
