I replaced it with a new energy mount and came to a realization that the extra steel plate that comes with the mount will help keep the mount from sagging so i ...

complete AC system for B2/type 85 cars

everything related to the air conditioning system, pulled from my '87 4000cs quattro. It all functioned fine, just needed a re-charge when pulled. only item not pictured is the dryer which is included. not sure what shipping will be like on this but shoot me a reasonable offer and its yours. I could ...

Re: 20vt in small chassis folks - Pass side Heat Shield Help

Also keep in mind that the engine bracket is picking up alot of the radiated heat from the ex. man and turbo, that might be enough along with the ambient heat

Always felt like this is the root of the problem, the heat soaking in from the cast mount.

I think my end all solution will be a ...

Re: 20vt in small chassis folks - Pass side Heat Shield Help

I have the same problem and I might have a strange solution. . .
My first mount melted despite my half assed effort to shield it with an old licence plate. Since energy suspension makes everything to order I was in a tight spot getting the car ready for a race a few weeks ago. I ended up cutting ...

Re: Dan's 4000CS Quattro 20vt Turbo Swap

sweet project! glad to see others still playing with 20vt's.

after driving a 4.11 20vt car I think that a 3.89 is better suited. to each their own opinion, I just don't like running at 4000rpm all day just trying to do 80mph, especially with all the extra heat that these engines hold. If I lived in ...

its worth noting in this thread that those distributor hall sensors can be had on ebay dirt cheap and it includes a new connector that screws into the body. mine was in bad shape also. I know you already fixed it, just saying :D
