Re: Chris' 200 20v Avant - RENNWGN - EFR

No, I meant that they make the same amount of torque period on pump gas, not at the same RPM. AKA, the rod limit is nearly identical on either. The 7163 100% spools later. THe 6758 is nice on these cars because they are at the cusp of full boost at 65-75mph, where the 7163 really needs to be closer ...

Re: Chris' 200 20v Avant - RENNWGN - EFR

Colin just ran a 12.4 with his 7aT with a pretty easy launch because Torsen rear diff. I think it has a 11.8 or so in it at about 113 at current boost. Pretty cool

Re: Chris' 200 20v Avant - RENNWGN - EFR

the extra power the 7163 makes is in to top end. THe torque/rod limit is virtually the same.

I think the 6758 makes a better daily turbo. The 7163 is fun, but really requires octane to make the huge gains. The 7163 is 100% more laggy than the 6758. about 300-400rpm worth. Stick with the 6758 IMO ...

Re: Chris' 200 20v Avant - RENNWGN - EFR

Yes, 340~ or so on pump 91, 355whp on 93.

Side note, Colin put this kit on his stock 200+K mile 7a for the last 6 months or so. Made 349whp at ~19psi on my dyno on e85 the other day. It is a riot I hear.

Looks good Josh. How did the spacer work out?

Love the V8 front end, though I agree, it needs some 18x9" wheels now ;)

Re: best clutch for my CQ with 35psi holset hx35?

The full face ones do not take nearly the abuse the 6 puck ones do. I have never had a 6 puck 707 pressure plated clutch weld, but i have had several full faced disks weld. I don't mind the 6 pucks daily driving, 4000lb mule has one with a lightweight aluminum flywheel, and it has been daily driven ...

Yes, stock size radiator, just tilted to clear stuff.

Made a bit of progress on the bumper and grill. Needs another day if work t9 get mounted and trimmed proper, but i do like the extra space afforded.

Should have the IC and intake done bt Friday, hopefully have coolng done as well!

Gonna be tight timing for sure. I may have my URQ trailered out east this show cycle if it is running. There are some half mile events in that time frame I want to do.

Re: Basic 07K Facts?

On e85, direct injection does nothing. On gas, overall hp it does little, though it does help modrange torque. Oems with dual rail setups are using GDi at torque peak and then blending in port injection up top.

The TTRS cams have the same exhaust valves, 1.5mm bigger intakes. Yes, they do flow more ...

Re: Hanks URQ 2.6L Autopsy

Long tubes typically just allow for less harsh bends that kill velocity and flow. The downside is they typically don't package anywhere, and the added runner volume makes them have later powerbands. They do theoretically make for more turbine efficiency though. IMO, it isn't enough gain to ...

Yes, The translation is insane power at low boost levels. The following is TTRS on e85, .85AR 6467 in the way of Xona 8267, Shrick 11mm cams, valve springs, stock head, 9.5:1 compression. The Mule is the other line, 6766 turbo via EFR 9174 on a spool valve .92 AR. E85, CNC head, Cat 305s set at 119 ...

Check the 07k 12mm IE cam vs the CAT 305 regrind that also has simar lift but check out the duration.... so yes, static flow may be aimilar or even better in some flavors of 20vt port jobs but it doesnt matter matter what it flows if it isnt open. The flow under the curve on a roller rocker destroys ...
