Re: Cracked turbine housing?

I thought about welding it up, then thought of probably having to do some machine work on it as well... not worth the cost in my head vs going full frame being as I already have a T25 housing for it. I just swapped over to wideband and eurodyne maestro so the plan was to go back to a ko3 for now ...

Smugly says, "......gonna drive it all day everyday, like we can with these cars."

Burns it to the ground next pass.

Great job Hank! High power Lambos and GTRs are stale to me anymore, 850hp out of that TTRS is more interesting in my opinion.

Re: Danes 4k raaaaazz car... 1.8t swap

Merry Christmas Dave! I got your text but haven't been able to reply, I haven't left my house at all today lol. I feel pretty confident in that mount. It's not the prettiest thing but it should work. The picture makes it look worse than it is. I tried heating it up some prior to welding to try and ...

Re: Danes 4k raaaaazz car... 1.8t swap

This week continued....
Here a few more pics. I'd also ordered some hoses and a reducer for my IC plumbing last week which showed up as well. I ordered a couple of wrong sizes so I wasn't able to finish that stuff off this week. Thinking week after next I'll order up some more things to finish it ...

Merry Christmas or whichever holiday you celebrate this time of year! Hope you all are having a good holiday season!

Pics of the downpipe. Looks huuuuuge bolted to a ko3 haha. I made it about as tight and high up as I could for a 3" tube. I'll have to make a relief in the skid plate when the time comes, but I'm happy with it.

Now that the car has sat in time out for a couple months, I'm ready to get back at it lol. Had a pretty good season shooting ducks, got the black car pretty much finished off for the year and am now 100% focused on getting this pig together. Progress report!

While I was doing the gaskets on the ...

Re: propane space heater recommendations?

I've used them as a "mobile" solution working on other peoples stuff. Even now though, I'll take my Knipco(kerosene) over just about anything haha. Aside from an insulated shop with infloor heat
My setup now is a 24x48 uninsulated pole barn with concrete and walls that let daylight in in spots haha ...

Re: Fix it or tune around?

No, it's notched so it only goes on 2 ways(180*.) I ended up shaving the cam a bunch and a hair off the cable end to get it to fit right. 0-100% now with the pedal. Thanks guys!

Re: Fix it or tune around?

What you need is a set of low profile injectors from a Volvo like I have. They lower the rail considerably, and as an added bonus they are an extended tip injector, so it puts it closer to the CIS injector tip location.

Can you post a pic? I'm fairly certain these are what I have in there now ...

Re: Fix it or tune around?

Just drill a small hole for clearance in the fuel rail, shouldn't be a biggie

That sucks, looks like you need to massage a bit of everything to get the room you need.

Now there's an idea!

I'm thinking shaving everything is going to be my only option. Sucks, I was hoping with this throttle ...

Re: Fix it or tune around?

Glad to hear! I don't think readings would vary much if that ended up being the stop. There's nothing really to compress and change the reading. I figured it best to ask others who are smarter than I lol. I'll crank the idle screw in tomorrow and see where I'm at with the idle. Thanks a bunch!
