Anyone have a source for AAN Ferrea valves?

I am looking for the following valves for my AAN.
ferrea F6027/F6029
They used to be available on eBay all the time but now that I actually want to order some I can't find them. I tried No Limit motorsports in Florida and their website says not available.

Re: Why does my LandRover engine still run?

The the LR engine is anything like the Buick engines, there are large expanses of deck where there are no coolant passages.

It's very common for the turbo sixes to blow a 2-3" long section of head gasket into the valley, retained by the pushrods. Engine still runs, albeit down on a cylinder and ...

Spend the last few nights trying to button up the 03' S8. I'm "So Close" Tranny is in. (Rebuilt the auto, didn't do 6-spd swap. I really hope I did it right and it works when I try to drive it in a few days.)

Got the Timing belt on, motor sealed up. Brakes pads, rotors, Control arms, etc. Cleaned ...

Re: 20vt in small chassis folks - Pass side Heat Shield Help

All you need is a piece of sheet metal above the mount to block the radiant heat. Hood vents help too, allows the hot air to escape, and sucks in cool air from below in the process.

Agreed. ON my old 4000 turbo i just cut a plate of heavy gauge stainless, and bent it at a 45degree angle with a ...

Re: Cam Cap bolts pulled out / Why?

Ok,
Head is now Helicoiled and seems fine. I"m bolting up the valve covers tonight, hopefully bolting up the driveline as well after the Tranny Rebuild. Tranny is in, just no driveshafts, etc yet. I want to drive it this weekend!

Thanks for the comments.

Re: Cam Cap bolts pulled out / Why?

Chris, Thats a great point about oil on the thread.
Yes the aluminum is what stripped. When I got about 1/2 way through my 90-degree stroke I felt it get easier all of a sudden. I removed the bolt, inspected, looked ok so reinstalled and tried again. That time it never made torque, just pulled the ...

Re: Cam Cap bolts pulled out / Why?

I will also add that the bolt that stripped was NOT being used to pull the cam down. Cam was fully seated and all bolts for all cams had been cross torqued to 10Nm. This particualar bolt was to cap #4 which was added after seating the cam. I don't think it was a case of user error. ;-)

Cam Cap bolts pulled out / Why?

While reassembling the motor on the D2 S8 last night I looked up the torque spec for the Cam Caps (I had cams out to do tensioner pads & seals while doing the Timing Belt job. According to the factory manual which I found on line here:

Re: Will these fit a UrS6?

There is no way I"d ever run a 19" on an Ur-S. I feel like my 18's are even to big but maybe a lighweight 18 would work ok. I think those may fit but may be tight on the outer lip in the rear if you are lowered. But as I said, they are heavy, and you'll be running like a 245/35 series tire or ...
