The 4kq is gonna look great with those wheels. Whats the offset on those? The Pathfinder looks good too, but it needs a SAS

Thank you guys!!! Little by little!!! SO, I just got back into town about 40 minutes ago with this nice little Derek made gem...

I'm going to make a few small changes, like add some V-bands and what not, but other than that, the craftsmanship he put into this exhaust is amazing. I love it!
Thanks a bunch Dan! I really appreciate the nice compliments! It's still a major basket case hahaha, but I really was hoping people would like my wheel choice.
I searched and searched to find exactally what I want and ended up seeing these wheels on a bimmer and once I found out they came in this silver, I knew I had to have them! As for meat I plan on running 215/40ZR17 Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec, I have heard good things about them from a lot of people. BTW man, your Jetta sounds awesome!!! Nice job!
Thanks man! They have a 32mm offset and 5.78" backspacing and yes the Pathy is in desperate need of a waggy axle.

Re: Ben's AAN 4kq - Now has exhaust
Got your PM, and yes I saw the exhaust. I moved it around a few times while it was behind the garage when I was working on my car at D's parents house. He told me he sold it but he didn't tell me it was you. I think your gonna love it, not quiet, but not too loud and since it's made from toyota tundra exhausts it will add reliability to your car

Re: Ben's AAN 4kq - Now has exhaust
Ya I am super stoked about hearing it on my car! I think I have watched the videos of him running it like 50 times by now just so I can hear it. xD It's good motavation. I think after I get my tires here it will be time to start getting my engine parts together.
I also have finally, FINALLY decided on my turbo, it's going to be a 5857 with .83 A/R (t3 divided/v-band). I am pretty freakin stoaked because where I can get it with the divided housing I will throw on a quick spool valve, so I can get the nice low end spool of the .63 A/R and get the nice top end of the .83 A/R. Needless to say, I am pretty pumped about all that is been happening with the Audi.

Re: Ben's AAN 4kq - Now has exhaust
what made you go with a dual exhaust like that as opposed to a 3in straight piped?

Derracuda made it for his Zermatt car and then he decided to make an aluminium exhaust like Shavedquattro did for his URQ. So I bought it from him.

For ground clearance mainly, I don't want to be banging it against speed bumps and what not.

I hope so man!
I plan on running the rear ones as well. I am currently working on a bracket so I can run Corrado front rotors on the rear with the rear Boxster calipers. I hope to have ALL my bases covered when it comes to the braking department.

Working on mocking up the rear brakes... a teaser...

I had to send back the front rotors because I ended up with D3A8 rotors instead of D2A8 (323mm vs 312mm), soo just have to wait for those and I can really get on setting up the front. Woot!

Re: Ben's AAN 4kq - Working on (rear) brakes
Thank man!
The only thing I really need to figure out is the parking brake. I am considering somthing like what an R8 has, with a soul parking brake caliper, like this:
http://www.ipsco.org/Custom%20Services/ ... 0Brake.htm
or using the hydro E-brake. I'm just not sold on the idea yet though. I can't wait to see these bitches on the car!!! Woot!

Re: Ben's AAN 4kq - Working on (rear) brakes
Well I have the fronts taken care of pretty much. Just need to sandblast and repaint the calipers. I really think these AR rotors turned out really great! I am stoked to see how much better stopping power I have now. :woowoo:

and more work to the rears...

I am going to have to take these rotors to a machine shop to have the center bored out a bit then after that I can take official measurements for my caliper adapters. Soooo I hope within the next couple weeks I can get that done. We shall see though.

I actually sandblasted off the old one and bought these "high temp" decals that are suppose to withstand braking temps. Hopfully they stand up to the claim. xD You can find them on ebay, that's where I got mine.

I really like the looks of that e-brake. It makes me want to get some boxter front calipers for the rear of the s4

Thanks man! I think I am just goin to run the cable e-brake for now. (once I buy the calipers) But in the mean time, I'm not going to worry to much about it where I can just leave it in gear. Hopfully I have the e-brake done before it is on the road though. xD

the calipers look great! did you replace seals and do a rebuild? or just a quick paint job?
Re: Ben's AAN 4kq - Working on (rear) brakes, Fronts are don
Thanks Dave! I thought about rebuilding them and a better man would have, but everything looked really clean (ie seals) no cracks or anything, but it was the O'l wallet that callled the final shot on that one so I just gave them a paintjob and called it good. If I get excited later down the road I will rebuild them.
