That looks way nice Ben!! I love the stance and the clean install. It already looks as if it could make the drive to Las Vegas. LOL I will look good in my driveway along with all the other GTG Audis. 8)

Thanks guys!

@ John, I wish it was ready! I have to say though, by far, my car will have the worst paint at the show. My pictures make it look 100x better than it really is.

I like it!! Sounds like it means it will be running and there. Paint can always come later. I'd like new paint, but it's not on the top of the priority list right now. Keep working on running and then tackle the paint.

Besides Ben, coming from someone who knows, bad paint is way better than a DNS or DNF. I'm going for running the whole event this year and not worry about paint.

@ Jim: your car is a master piece in comparison to mine, even when it was still the three shade wonder!

@ John: Your totally right, running and present is better than suffering the shame of driving the A6 down right? xD

@ JT4k: I plan to at some point! :P

SO other news: because the turbo the engine came with is crap I need to figure out what turbo I want to run for this first go-around, and sense I have to buy "something" I want to upgrade. I am open to suggestions, I have been considering the Volvo turbo option for awhile now, but after pricing everything and the work entailed with getting it ready, I think a different route is needed for the first go-around.

A few are being considered are: TO4E or TO4S, "Precision Entry Level turbo" 5431E MFS or maybe a 30R. My major limitation is that the AAN is on stock rods and just has head-studs with an MLS gasket. SO what do you guys think? I would love to think I could run a 30R but I am not sure if the stock bottom end is up to the job. The main thing is the price point needs to be right, I can't afford to go buy my "dream" turbo yet, so I could live with running a journal bearing turbo even if it means sacrificing a bit of reliability, I am just spit-balling here, but if I ran a GT30R I would get ball bearings which may be worth the extra 300 over the 5431... IF the stock bottom end would hold up.

OH and on a side note, I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to ditch the KKK flange and go with a T3 divided if at all possible, so, I do plan on modifying my current header to make it work. :)

Anyways, whatcha guys think?

Remember that the 3071r uses the same turbine as the 3076r. I say this because a 3071r can be run at it's efficiency range on a stock motor and make good power under the rod limit. It can also put a regular 76mm wheel on to make it bend rods, or a billet wheel to make it 500whp capable..

I would go with a 3071r but I really would like to keep the price <900 bucks, bear in mind this turbo will be on the car for maybe a year. I plan on having a totally different set up by Battle Born 2013.

It is pretty easy to shop around and find new for a grand and used for around 700. Surf VWVortex on your spare time for awesome deals from time to time.

http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.p ... atercooled This is a great deal that I have been tempted on several times.. It would require some nads, but it would be fun!! :)

http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.p ... heel-turbo. Also a great deal..

That was skimming the first 10 pages, or the last weeks worth of forced induction classified.. There wer also 28r turbos that i didn't link. As long as you are careful, you can get some sweet deals, but be careful. Tons of scams and boxes full of rocks stories floating around.

Freaking. Awesome. Thank you Hank! I think it would be a blast to run the 35/40 but I think it would be a race between the transmission and the engine during the first pull to see which was blown to kingdom come first. HAHA
