Yessssssss I just got the awesomest phone call ever. My buddy FINALLY called me and asked if I want to do it tomorrow. fiddle sticks YES I want to do it tomorrow.
I have the biggest shit-eating grin on my face right now.
oh and the Bastard tells me he could have saved me like $60 on my already discounted price on the ID1000's. God dammit, thats what I/he gets for not getting back to me sooner!

loxxrider wrote:Next up are pictures of why my window reg failed. It would go down, but not up and made lots of crunchy noises. That plastic thing on the end of the cable is supposed to go down inside those holes in the motor housing and allow the cable to tighten up. When its broken like mine is, that doesn't happen. I have some extra white thingies, but no way to get them off of the cable they are on and onto the one in the car. So basically next up is figuring out how to get the reg off of the window...I really don't know how to do it properly. While I figure that out, wood with zip-ties is holding my window lol.
said white thing
crappy pic of where the white thing goes

The black inner door panel has to come off. Its the easiest way to get the motor off the window. I drilled some 1/4" into the black panel so when I put it back everything was properly aligned.

1 you need to follow the instructions in that factory repair manual. Those German engineers are like smart or something
2 once you get the black panel off every will make sense. Like why mustard belongs on hot dogs, ketchup belongs on hamburgers, and the two sauces should never be mixed (sorry for the rant)
loxxrider wrote:ha OK off with the panel it is then. I don't have a repair manual...thats why I have to ask so many questions here!
Steve, you can buy the BBS's but they aint cheap! and they probably wont fit a 20v. They are flush on my car and thats an understatement.
PM me your email. I will send you a V8 manual so that you have the write up for the window job
Steve: those wheels will not fit for all intensive purposes. There is the slim possibility that with extensive modification to the rears tubs, fender flaring, lots of camber (Im not a fan of), they might on a slim chance fit.
Corey, its loxxrider@yahoo.com and those wheels wont fit in the rear of his car, but they especially wont fit in the front. They poke on my car a bit from what I could tell during the test fit.
