312x25mm A8 rotor next to a 340x34mm monster rotor


takes up a lot of space behind a 19" rim... too bad i can't run 19's on this car, otherwise 11" wide here i'd be comin'!

i hope to have a 5x130 hub conversion update here in the next week or so depending on my machinist's schedule. i think you'll all approve very much.

Ah, gotcha. Did you follow the same design concept as the CA bushings, or did you make two separate halves w/ shoulders instead?
Just curious as that'd be something I'd consider doing. But after buying new arms (~$80 each) and then paying for machining for the bushings ($??) you'd probably be close in price to the 034 ones at $200ish.

viola' 5x130 using the existing 4x108 hubs...
what we have here are steel rings, machined to fit the stock hubs (also slightly machined for perfect fit) from the backside, sandwiched together as a package from the adapter, through the stock hub, through the rotor, and the wheel. it's all hub centric and there's nowhere for anything to go 8)


.002 interference fit.. fits like a glove


chevy truck 14x1.5mm wheel studs. the new bolt circle puts them out away from the spindle enough to replace with the hub still in the bearing.. in the spindle/bearing housing.


the rear hubs sit further in, so the adapter had to be machined a bit for clearing the sprindle/bearing housing.

test fit in the porsche wheel...perfect.

test fit in the 345x32mm rotor... perfect (just need to drill the holes myself)

correct, no welding. after some discussion with the machinist, we determined that welding wouldn't be the best route since for the best outcome, we'd need to test the hub to get the metal identified, then find matching material, then for the welding, then for heat treating, and then for machining... this was the simplest, safest, most straight forward concept. thanks to maarten of NL for helping spawn the idea 8)
as for selling them... i'd have to see how it works out first. and i don't have a store or anything, but i could do a one by one basis conversion if someone asked me to. i'm not set up for production by any means.

hmmm, why didn't i thread the holes... well, mainly because i planned to use these studs from the beginning... the wheel bolt thing kinda sucks even though it works just fine. these studs have the cone on them and make cross threading nuts very hard, and i like that. plus, with this stud arrangement, it helps with the encapsulating of the whole spacer/hub/rotor/wheel package.
5x112 is already doable, 5x114.3 would be a bit of a squeeze on the 5x112 hubs, but i'm not sure if it would work safely...
