Oh I get it....trying to figure out how to make an 01E work in the Urq in three weeks wasn't enough of a challenge, right? There is a ton of work already into that project and a bunch more to put it all back together when painted. How straight is everything? Are you getting dings and such straight? I put the primer gun in the mail this morning in a two day package. I hope you are ready. Has the paint already arrived?

No doubt. It is hard to get the ball rolling, but once it gets rolling, watch out :) I literally lose weight when I get the Iroz hyperfocus, as I find the objective more important than food.

LOL. A bit on the ol plate... T-4 days till my wife is back! We are on schedule believe it or not. It is amazing what a guy can do when his wife is out of town. I am still in school 8 hours a day with this progress, but I am not at home watching greys anatomy at night.. :)

I do have a few things I want, but do not need. They are NLA parts from what i know, but Istill would like to find soemthing.. If you have any leads on these items, let me know

-Sunroof gasket..
-Front windscreen that isnt pitted and chipped
-a better wing that isn't weather checked. I want to paint mine the body color...
-the door sill strip that is plastic to protect the paint when you step into the car.
-the plastic piece that is on the edge of the carpet on the door seals. It butts up against the weather strip

While you are on a roll, mine needs paint too! I can't do 16 hour days any more.

Shoot. Is it too late to get it in the mail? I would put it on for sure.

I wish I had a fiberglass front bumper, or just a valance that was not so warped as mine.

He's got even more welding to do for me too! :D Can't wait for that

Lookin' good Hank. Stripping paint SUCKS. Just stripping my wheels was a pain in the ass and made a huge mess. I can't imagine the whole car. Bet you lost a few brain cells spraying that crap on lol.

I am at school for a lab till 6 today. :( I was hoping to go to another section, but it did not pan out. I'll be there soon enough, and probably do more work today than you have done all month on the vr6 car.

This week: drain oil, put new oil in. buy two coolant hose clamps, tighten hose clamps and fill coolant. double and triple check everything. turn key. get to temp. check for leaks. if leaks, set car on fire. if no leaky, go to vegas for totally awesome audi get-together.

Get it done Darin! You need atleast 2 weeks of bug working out in order to have good peace of mind on a 1000 mile road trip. Only thing is that you will have to raise the boost atleast high enough to fend off those pesky s2's that will come with us

You know i'm bringing a tow rope right? I'm pretty sure we already have the record for flat towing miles and top speed while flat towing, but this could put us into a whole new category!
