Hey Hank,

I'm glad I helped with your color choice :D ...............I love it.!!!!!!!!!!!

It look's amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With the smoked tails, and the white wheels, its' going to look great.

That shell looks so solid and straight............bring on the weekend.

Make sure you paint the black around the b ,c pillar before putting the side windows
back in.

Great job.

Cheers,

You know Craig, I only painted it red because I wanted to prove to the Canadian SQ Guild that I am worthy to be included in the red 20vt URQ along with SQ club.

:stupid:

and while i am not a fan of red it looks pretty sharp. the downside to this is that it will look sharp to ALL..... especially your friends John E. Law......

it does happen to be the most noticeable color out there, and coupled with a big ass turbo making whoosh whoosh pfffft noises, tires leaving parts of themselves on the pavement, and jet-plane taking off sounds, it could get you seen more....

looks great!!!!

Put those three things together, and it is obvious that the car just doesnt get the attention it deserves due to the cruddy paint job....

...so in an effort to attract Mr. John Q. Law...

Careful what you wish for, buddy!

It will definitely grab some attention now.

Perhaps it will force me to mature a bit. :) The first time I get pulled over, I will have a big smile on my face when the oficer comes to the window. I will look at him and say" IT IS ABOUT TIME!!!!" hehehehe

Martin ,

Your bad

Hank, anyone is welcome to the sport quattro club. :D

I don't think people share their resources, knowledge enough on this site sometimes. We're all here for the same reason. IMO guys should pool together more, and that way we all have better project outcomes at the end off the day.

Some guys weld amazing (hint ,hint) Some guys do amazing CAD work. Some guys have access to water
jet machines and so on .

I fully understand that some people want to make a buisness out of their hard work, and 034 runs this site, however some things can, and IMO should be shared amongst like minded people privately.

Cheers,

Craig

Wow looks great a little bit of water sanding the clear and it will be perfect. :P
For the front windshield you could just use some dish washing soap, slips nicely and cleans off easy.

Dish soap works pretty well? Sweet.

I'll cut an polish the paint in a couple of weeks to allow for any paint shrinkage that may occur... It will be painfull to not put the decals on though :)

Hank, I know we have talked a bunch on the phone, but the car looks awesome!!! I figured it would. Hope getting it back together before the weekend doesn't cause a divorce. We'll see you in a couple of days.

Hank- I'm a sucker for red. Looks phenomal! 8)

Bloody bleedin 'ell - looks great! Hank

I guess that makes me even further from entry to that exclusive '84 ur owners club.

Ah ha but I have a cunning plan, a very cunning plan, one that will gain entry, and yet, and here is the really cunning part use less paint.... A nudge is as good as a wink to a blind horse, with no nerve endings.....

  Now I noticed there wasn't any name calling, but I am curious who this blind horse might be. :D Seems like Hanks 81 ought to be as good an entrance ticket as an 84. 81s are pretty rare in these parts. Being that there are more 83s here than anything, does having two of them gain me anything?......oh and they are both red, but the good looking red. One more thing....did you notice on my Her Urq project that I indeed used less paint. In fact I only used enough for a fender and core support, so do you suppose that it would qualify as a nudge.......well to a blind horse that is?
