You fire your coil five times per cycle (distributor), we only have to fire each one twice.

I have not had any issues at all with this setup, plugs get replaced every year regardless of condition, and it lights off the rich mixture of gas, water, and meth at 30 psi no problem. I will reduce it to 2.5 and see what happens next time I have the laptop out. Todays project is to remove the annoying pad deposited from my rotors.

I'm definitely not saying that 2.5 and ramping it up the same way you have it now will light off, but its certainly worth a try. The more conservative while still getting a good spark the better!

I agree, these settings carried over from the 20vt where I spent a lot of time tuning this in. The 20v is definitely not as picky so that makes me think I can reduce it

Hank.
NO IDea if this will help, But I was comparing the axles on my B5 A4 to my CQ axles since they were sitting next to each other. The A4 Axles are about 1.5X the Diameter. Not sure about ultimate strength though. However, the lengths are different so you'd have to shorten them too.

That said, if you need, I can send you the one I have to chop up. I still need to send you those SwayBar Mounting brackets if you need them still. Or if you want pics I can put them side by side and shoot a pic.

I had white R8's on my red Ur-Q and I didn't like it at all. Get silver ones, and EVERYONE tells me that they liked the white better, whatever, I didn't mind as I liked the way it looked with silver ones 1000 times better. Now, I look at your pics and I think that white looks great. Maybe because my paint is pretty pinkish thats why I didn't like the white wheels with it, I don't know? Also, the suede looks GREAT, and i never like the way it looks as it always seems like something some dude bro in an MK4 GTi 1.8T would do. Car looks great.

How do you feel about Zebra cloth Richard? hehe Tell me how you feel.

I hate white wheels on the majority of the colors out there, but I think the red/white wheels/ dark tails combo works well for whatever reason.

Hank, don't throw away the run just fine at 15psi MC coils away just yet. They may work just fine for me.

They are fine at 24psi. I'll hold onto them all for you. I bet new wires would make them even tolerate a bit more. I think a couple of them may be low on spark output.. I got 8 of them here to choose from, but I dont have the time or patience to keep chasing spark issues.

I think I am going soft...

It rained all day today and I <gasp> didnt want to drive the car...

I miss the day of romping in the rain, throwing hte car sideways in gravel, running the car guiltlessly through the car wash, and passing 18wheelers at triple digits speeds..

My thumbs up count has gone up by 200% though.. :)

Yep, you're done.

All these years I had to be tormented about the blue car not coming out of the garage except on the nicest of days...

I'll get over it. I doubt that I will drive on salt road days, but a little water won't hurt anything. Nothing is better then freshies on the early morning roads before they throw down salt. One thng i need to figure out is how to get better cold start performance with e85. I am cranking for a few minutes of spudders before it finally catches.

Anybody have a block heater or choice

Audi had a 'stick on' oil heater that was inexpensive - you stick it to the oil pan. OE part..

I guess what I am wondering is how much heating the oil/block will help with the E85 cold start issue. Will the block be warm enough to vaporize the fuel?

Don't they change the mixture of e85 in the winter? Doesn't it contain more gasoline? i wonder if the local vendors have switched.

It depends on the vendor. I know of one in CO that does not.
