I found a lot more hardware specific info here on the
MR2 Owners Club Message Board ... Covers most of the available sensors from the GM lineup...
I was under the impression that the newer sensors output in voltage as opposed to frequency. Seems as though it's the gauges/lcd displays that come prepackaged in these kits that convert/output the frequency signal in volts for more compatibility with standalone ecu's. Lucky for me VEMS can use both, in fact frequency is said to be less "crude" in it's output resolution than a converted volts output.
Here's the
Dynosty Kit where they list output in volts... it was misleading at first but I think I got it now...
