Lucky break. Wonder if they screwed up the order because of yours and your brother's last names being the same?

I had to put the distributor back in my car for the cam sync signal and I hate having that thing in there. It's all shimmed up nice and tight and I can still hear it rattling around.

I am going to put in a threaded Hall sensor in the valve cover to pull the sync signal from the cam lobe.

Ah, that's unfortunate....
At least you will have a fast as shit Audi 200 to drive...I mean...that's cool I guess?

It's okay, though. I might be convinced to trade a couple of lottery tickets for the Audi. :P

We ordered exactly the same part number 1002305. One set had the gear, the other set no gear :hammer:

What was wrong with the cam gear sync?

Nothing technically, but I am just used to not having it in that location, and the extra noise.

Yup, he ate one. Long story short, it was technically my fault. I let him chew up the dud 3D parts from time to time...he has no way of knowing which ones are duds vs. good. He saw, he crunched. Unfortunately the pump was in the bracket as well, so that got crunched too. Only one pump.

Thank you again to Jeff at FRP. Truly an amazing experience from start to finish. I will be referring everyone to him for engine work (Audi or not). It's hard to find such service, loyalty and passion in this industry. VERY VERY pleased and can't wait to fire her up! 6 out of 5 start rating.

so pretty.....

Question for you. What is the reason you are staying with the stock intake manifold? Will this not limit your flow?

I am keeping it to retain factory position of the radiator as well as my current air to water intercooler.

It has also been heavily ported by Jeff to match flow as close as possible in all runners and has had the TB mouth opened up to accept the 70mm bored stock TB. Jeff assured me that the intake manifold will not be the weak link in my build so we'll see how it works out.
