1600's at 4bar, 39psi or so on top. If you're running real fuel lines and a real pump setup I wouldn't even bother with 1000's.

General rule of thumb on our quattros is 1000cc per 100whp at 3-4 bar. You can squeeze them for about 125whp per 1250cc at 6 bar but that has it's disadvantages as well as advantages.

Wicked car Brian. Love what you have done with it. Takes a man with persistence and work ethic to keep a 800whp sub car on the road. Well done.

Are those the 1600's that had issues on oxygenated fuels back in the day... reason why ID stopped offering them?

Yup. Exactly why they I have them. Because they were a screamin deal.

I love how those 1600cc injectors were hated on and discontinued for the reason of not being able to use oxygenated fuels. Probably a good chance that nobody on this forum has ever used oxygenated fuels or plans on it.

Aren't most pumps oxygenated? With ethanol no less!

I guess you southerners get a pass on the winter programs but likely still get the ethanol ;-)

not that i know much, but i believe the issue was how they reacted when the fuel got a little heated?

anyhow, it it aint broke, dont (need to) fix it. and if ya cant fix it, then dont break it!

Wow seems like a good price, considering the relentless time and funds put into this car. I'll trade you a restored 57 bel air with a 572 crate motor, and of course my 91 200 20v along with my fiancé. :D

I would love to have this brutal beast! I just wouldn't be able to give it the time and attention it deserves. GLWS, this is one hell of a car!
