Coupe 320x32 two piece rotor BBK

Post by Zaworek »

hello

I wanted to see what you guys think about this setup. Im using a8 323x30 rotor with Boxter S calipers now and planning on upgrading to two piece.

I'm planning on using Porsche two piece rotor 320 x32 and cnc custom hats to adapt to 5x112.
let me know if any one is interested in hats so i can make them more cost effective.

Thank
Sebastian

Should work well. How much are those rotor rings?

Interested, based on price.

What had you previously done to clear the TRE on the inside of the rotor? Would the new hats be able to offset that clearance issue, especially considering the increase in rotor thickness?

Here's what I did:

Lastly, do you have an idea (if not exact) of the weight difference?

Hi

first question is what hubs and bearings are you using,

my setup are milled urs6 hubs with coupe bearings and they clear the ball joint fine. my rotors are a8 rotors
the rotor did not come in so i dont know about the weigth they are from 98 porsche 911 tt and the hats im planing to have machines maching either the a8 rotor or make custom offset.

rotor prices vary from $200-260 depending on vendor and location.

i was planning on using the same rotor front and back with 6 pot in front and 4 pot in rear but its still in planning stage.

I'm not really sure about the hats; given the builder he could have made them. I linked to a thread back on AW where Mance mentions the setup.
More about the suspension in my build thread (link in sig).

//Ok, looks like Billzcat made the hats...aka, NLA.
