Nice work, and as was noted on QW, good thinking on the grease nipples.

Makes me want to incorporate that into my coupe build now...

Got the rear mostly done, trans swapped now getting front suspension back together. Decided to sell the house so I've got to get the car out of the garage ;)

Pressure is on!

Leaving it in the garage would devalue the house too much ;)

I had an issue getting the shift linkage adjusted and it turned out I had installed the bushing in upside down that the Apikol SSK arm mounts in, they were out of cores so they sent me the parts and I did it myself, twice, lol. After getting it adjusted 1-2 is too tight, you really have to yank it out of 1st and 2nd. So I removed the linkage and tested it with the shift arm, still too tight. I should have done it before I installed it but live and learn. Dropped trans again and delivered it to JHM today for a full rebuild with carbon synchros and 4:1 center diff. I hope the rest of my "core" trans is in good shape, internal parts add up quick and I'm out of time and funds for this phase of the project. They are out of carbon synchros but hope to see them soon, fingers crossed...

Annual drive/GTG is in a month, I hope to have the S4 on the road!

Pic of shift pattern for testing purposes, please do yourself a favor and run through the gears before you get too serious!

Thanks! Lots of time and money, as always more of both than planned. It has been up in the air for about 7 months, I really need to drive it.

I hear you. I've practically avoided driving the 200 because the bushings are so shot the car is a wandering death trap.. Finally have a bit of cash to replaced the failed components.

Had a really tight 1-2 shift collar in my new to me edu, ended up taking it to JHM for the full treatment and a couple extra.gears and the 3-4 shift collar. Too many dollars but it should be good for a long time.

So, it is officially getting close!

Made it on the ground and a good 20 minute test drive. Everything felt really good, be better with all the wheels pointed the right way. Alignment Wednesday afternoon, fingers crossed...

I still don't quite believe that it drives again

I'm stoked, seems very flat in the corners, I was taking it easy but this is a whole new ballgame for me. Ride is very stiff, I need to back the shocks off a bit... Since I can ;)
