Damn what are the odds, that's the bumper I have for my black coupe.

Same vendor?

Doubtful, I've been waiting for mine for a long time now. Since before he posted it originally. Looks pretty decent quality from the photo he uploaded.

The Idea is to get it all in Primmer and then do Engine ,Subframe ,ETC. Then finish Paint

The Bumper is made in Germany by NTC but ordering from England saved me about $50 http://shop.topbodykit.co.uk/p/351/audi ... ont-bumper
Bumper is decent , needs finished some spots aren't straight but overall at least it is not warped. Plus I have to cut it anyway to make it Wider.
Some onepiece Headlights found there way to my house, so now I can button up the front of the fenders after relocating the headlight mounts.

Nope that's where I ordered mine from too.
Congrats on getting yours first, I've gotten a lot of apologies from Kate. Last I saw it just cleared JFK customs......

Man that sucks ,hope its fixable. If you decide to keep it get it out of the bag to cure the resin. Mine was green and smelled horrible.
Its been out of the bag for over a week now and it is still gassing of.

Made some progress with the headlight mounts, got them moved to where they need to be. Will post pictures when I get some more
sheetmetal on the car. :)

Did yours arrive in good condition? Beyond the damage I felt the quality was terrible as well. I contacted top body kit today and they told me there is nothing they can do for me. My front 1080 cam captured the delivery, it was just dropped and not signed for and I also unpackaged it in front of the cam as well. I would recommend no one purchase from them, I'll be filing a paypal claim today. I think I have enough documented to show I was not giving any notice or time to inspect the package and that voids their purchase conditions.

Tox:

Yes my bumper was not damaged. However the quality is not that good although this is my first fiberglass bumper, so what do I know?
I contacted the seller as well and inquired about shipping insurance which is not available.

I to was wondering how I can refuse the product if damaged, when the shipper just drops it of and no signature is collected nor required.(Kinda hard to refuse a package when nobody is there to accept it) :hammer:

Getting the delivery on tape and unpacking as well on tape should work in your favor. Get triple backup of that timeframe so you can
prove it was just dropped of and nobody touched the package until you unpacked it. If you have further questions let me know, also if I can help in any way I will.

Just for reference I've bought a number of fiberglass bumpers in the past and this is the worst quality I have ever received, lol. It's also at least half the thickness of the the thinnest one I have ever received. After seeing the video's I uploaded they agreed to issue full refund and it's scheduled for tomorrow. It'll be really great if they follow through!

So had some time to work on the car. In order for me to place the Headlight/Headlight Frames, the back of the Front fenders needed some rigidity. Because the back of the fenders more or less floated Adjustments in that area caused the front of the fender to move.
At this point I decided to stabilize the back and work my way forward while paying attention to fender height as I went.

Did more "Edge Refinement" on the slot of the fender in the quest of stabilizing the sheetmetal. Since I don't have a bead roller I have to use wire frames to get a nice edge on the metalwork. I bend these by hand and the process is not fun as the wire is really stiff. :wah:

Final slot size (Blue tape on bottom for visual aid)

Doing this produced the desired results of increased stability.

You could try to roll the metal around the wire if you have room like the old large fendered cars.

Looking good for sure!

That was one of the options I had , besides beet rolling. I had cut one panel already to a bodyline so there was not enough metal to roll it around the wire.

Finally more work done. Driver side fender got some love in the slot area. Placed wire frame , Welded and Ground flush.
Some of those edges are starting to take on a finished look. Area above slot got the same treatment on the fill panel.

Still super excited to see this finished...

How would you use a bead roller to do the edges? As in a bead roller for adding a bead to piping or are you referring to something else?

Paradox11235

You place the panel on the car and figure out where you want your bodylines to end/start. Mark the bodylines and add 1/2 to 1 inch of material depending on your setup. Remove panel from the car. After the panel is cut to size you run it through the bead roller ,but not the one for pipe beads as the dies are different. Bead/edge rollers come in all sizes and with a lot of dies that roll all kinds of edges at various angles. If you have a roller with enough throat you can roll beads mid panel etc. The one I was looking at rolled the edge over to about 140 degrees and the though was to lay it over the rest of the way with flatbill pliers, but the roller was just to expensive and the cost off dies is big bucks to.

Hope this helps.

Had some time to do the headlight frame on the drivers side. Not as elegant as I hoped for but bondo will do the rest. Had to cut the fender upfront to do some more tugging and pulling to make it all come together.

Hood was in need of some "bondoshelfs" to line up with the rest of the front fenders.
