B4 Carbon Fiber hoods : NO LONGER FOR SALE
Re: B4 Carbon Fiber hoods for sale
I have a b4 cf hood I bought in the group buy. Paid close to 900, never opened the package, sitting at hanks shop. I'll sell it for 800$ if you pick it up. Just need money for medical bills from when I flew off a cliff in my cq

Re: B4 Carbon Fiber hoods for sale
Has anyone mounted one of these with the stock hood latch pins? On the stock hood the pins screw into floating discs so there's adjustment there, but on this hood they're fixed thus the only adjustment is in the hinge attachment bolts. I spent well over an hour last night trying to align the hood so both pins would line up but as I tried to push down and latch the hood you could hear it creak due to misalignment. If I push any harder it's going to crack. Could get one pin lined up but not both. Even if they both lined up I'm not sure I'd trust it to hold up to repeated closings :(
So I guess my only option is aftermarket hood pins...which really sucks because someone is buying the car and wanted the hood and now I can't mount it for them. They're from out of state and thus can't fit the hood in the car with them.

I found the same thing. You have to align the latch carriers to the hood. Which is kind of a pain. I didn't try too hard. Decided I would just do aero latches someday.

You probably wouldn't have a hard time selling the hood alone
*edit: I figured out how to read

Re: B4 Carbon Fiber hoods for sale
Sorry to see this guys.
I got it to work on my car. Making adjustable hood pin points would have been quite complicated.
If you polish the back corners a little it should fit. Alternatively, the panel with the latch point can be adjusted a little forward, as well.

Re: B4 Carbon Fiber hoods : NO LONGER FOR SALE
UPDATE:
I won't export these hoods anymore to the USA. All the fixed port, customs handling etc. fees are insane and make it not worth it. The shipping cost is just a very small part.
