That's a good feeling for sure!

Out of curiosity, what was the turnaround time from Jeff?

It was a few months but i had told Jeff that there is not a big hurry... FWIW most of the time was spent waiting on pistons and other parts

That's all understandable, and still a deadly turnaround time.

Did he provide any photos of the build along the way?

Looking good. I like the stance and wheels. Can't beat the customer service from Jeff.

Whelp the after the freshly rebuilt engine got broke in and i started turning up the boost E85 here in arizona changed to e55 ethanol so i pulled timing/boost and fuel for a get around town tune and basically stopped driving the car. fast forward a few months and i took the time to relay the fuel pump using a relay bracket from a C5. Unfortunately the random smoking on startup has now become an every start thing and i am thinking valve seals or rings... leaning towards rings as i am dumping mass amounts of oil into my catch can and getting less power from the same boost and fuel :) FML.. ordering a leak down tester to see what i will need to tear out.

So my 044 pump gave up a month back and i decided to go with the Walbro 416 as i can do two if i ever need more fuel. For now i have modified my old basket to fit the walbro .. purchased a rubber sleeve to help keep it put and with the top piece snapped on its not going anywhere. I did a quick pressure and flow test but have not been able to actually test as it's 120 degrees in the day and lows are in the mid 90's :wah: In the back of the first pic is my prototype printed double pump basket.

You might be running into the same issue I was having if you're using Google Photos...
Here's a link on how to fix it...
