Any updates on the flares?

No, too many other projects in the garage like this caterham with a 2liter V8 keeping me busy. I need to get back to that car. I picked up a B5 S4 that has been distracting me too.

Looks great!
I've been thinking about doing an exhaust tunnel to mine as well, as I have had issues with the exhaust hitting things because it is so close to the ground.

Love those wheels, just wish they came in an 18x10.

So the flares are completely different now, not the ones based on 944. Who made those? I think you'll either have to modify the leadinng edge of the fronts or run suspension so stiff with basically 0 body roll.
Shifter setup looks great! Are you going to keep your seats that far back?
Exhaust tunnel is also great idea, I'm just not sure about cutting out the main frame rail out of the car - it looks like you did? I know it wil be caged, but still...

Got a good deal on these fenders. So going this route even though the boxy 944's would have been cool. Planning on some mods much like Mark did for his coupe. I clearly see there will be some rub issues.
a_CQ wrote:Shifter setup looks great! Are you going to keep your seats that far back?
Seats are pushed back. Pedals are pushed back. Shifter is pushed back. Just gotta move the steering back now and I have all but one piece to finish that job.

Main frame rail is untouched. Just touches next to it near the firewall.

When are you hoping to have it on track? This summer? It would be cool to see another wide body B3 at a NASA event (2 in Michigan this year).

Not sure the budget will allow for that. Motor build is in progress but then add a cage cost, engine/chassis harness and all the misc bits and it will add up fast.

Yeah, it does add up fast.
How about by September? Our season finale will be at Road America, with some fun on track stuff planned.

That might be doable.

034 did a group buy a while back.

Wheels are team dynamics. Not the lightest but a cheap 18x9 that looks good to get me started. Might move to 18x10's at some point. 17's would be nice to keep the weight down and I could get the car lower as well. Harder to find wide 17's though.

Definitely bad ass...
I don't think they are OZ Superturismos. The area around the bolt hub is different.
