Thanks Nick! Motivation is through the roof - I want to drive the stinkin' thing! All I do is work on it..
And it's never been to Carlisle. It must go.

Transmission is in, just need to finish bolting in the driveshaft, reinstall the exhaust and then take it for a test run! This trans shifts much more smoothly and feels more precise. Also used the throwout bearing from the 'new' trans and the clutch pedal feels much more competent too.
Hope these are good signs!

Took the 200 for a drive and shortly after beginning there was a lot of noise coming from the trans. 2nd and 3rd gear are really noisy... Not sure if its the input shaft bearing or what but it sounds kind of scary.

Excellent question - probably the remnants of what the factory put in there. Will check tomorrow

Oh no...I'm sorry
My experience with that trans is that the car drove just fine from VT to NH as a parts car for a 200 owner. We pulled the engine and trans as a package deal from him. The engine is the 3b in my coupe. I hope it is resolved with fluid...

At least now I'm confident that new fluid will fix it

Yea should be good.. Guess running 0W-0 isn't the best idea.
I'll get some Motul Gear 300 ASAP!

Hopes and dreams aren't the best lubricant

Hope some fluid resolves(d) the problem and that the car won't have any more hiccups before Carlisle!

Yea me too... My test drive may have damaged the input shaft seal :( oh well!
Nothing is really necessary besides a fire extinguisher. Would like to have it tuned to 25psi but I don't see that happening before the show. Running WG spring pressure now (2.2bar spring)
