The Euro V8 shift box is in with minimum issues, you are using a 7A flywheel, your 200 front axles are the same length on passenger and driver side, and you are pretty close to putting the O1E in? What clutch is that? Do you know of a foot pound rating for it?

The shift box is from a Euro S6 plus however it seems as though URS4/6 stuff should work/be very close to identical. It is pretty much a bolt in as far as function however getting the shifter surround and center console to mount to it will take a bit of customization (which I'm still not 100% done with).

My clutch release bearing broke into pieces Saturday so I didn't get the trans bolted up to the block just yet. I'll pick one up tomorrow and see if I have time to get it mounted up there. Waiting on Hanks trans mounts as well.

As for the axles, I'm still working on the drivers side one. The passengers side can most likely utilize the stock axle by just "stretching" the cv a bit. I'm probably not going to go that route though as a drivers side urs4 axle will work perfectly for the pass side 200 01e swap. The drivers side I am still researching. Looks like the actual shaft needs to be 53cm. It looks as though a 90's passenger axle is the proper length but they are 6x100. I have to check and see if the 200's cv will go onto that shaft. This image was sent from a guy overseas who has an 01e in his 200:

You're correct, it's a 7A flywheel and clutch setup. The clutch is a Clutchnet Red pressure plate and 6 puck sprung hub disk (same setup I ran last on the car and loved). Clutchnet has a torque rating of 515ft lbs listed however they have been known to under-rate apparently. I'll see how it does. The price is unbeatable.

Thanks Ed. Ordered 5 of them so if anyone else needs them, let me know. Believe it or not, the 200's look different than those pictured:

Still the same idea though.

Glad I can help with your beautiful build

Might have some leads on the drivers side axle. I'll be picking up the possible candidates Thursday so I'll be letting you guys know.

Tomorrow I am getting a new throwout bearing and plan to mount the trans to the block and take some dimensions for the trans mounts.

Might have the drivers side axle figured out! Ended up slicing my finger pretty good dismantling them though so I had to call it at that. I'll probably get up later and get back at it.

The potential candidate is from the drivers side of an automatic D2 A8. Lol. We'll see!

Updates to follow.

Is this axle candidate such that you won't need spacers on either side?

Fingers cross. Yes. Using the 200's inner and out CV's. I'll hopefully find out later today.

Still need to figure out axles and build transmission mounts. Coming soon!

Started assembling transmission mounts. Man they are time consuming.

Im no professional welder so don't judge too hard. That's as far as I got for today. Hopefully they won't require too much modification. I'm a newb.

Hey, you have to start somewhere. Might as well start on stuff like this what people don't see (on the car, anyway). I recently started doing TIG on Al stuff and it's a whole different ball game.

Not happening today fellas. My axle idea ended up not working. Got the transmission mounts fabricated and installed though:

Not terrible on the trans mounts, but def keep an eye on them. The drivers pad bolted to the trans seems a bit thin, and the structure of same pad type on the other may be weak do to the cut/weld splice. Maybe gusset where you put in the "angle iron". keep up the progress!

Thanks Jim! This is the first time I've ever attempted to fabricate anything like this. With a bit of guidance from my father (machinist of 30+ years) I ran the saw, mill and welder myself. I'm fairly proud to say that they at least bolted into place haha. My fabrication skills certainly need work, but honestly I just need more experience. Some formal training most likely wouldn't hurt either.

I will be sure to watch them for signs of failure in the areas you mentioned. I plan to buy hanks when they become available anyway. These are just because I really want to get the car driving. I'm stoked to see how it performs with the FYF 01E.

Have to get this axle ordeal figured out so I can test this thing!!!

So as it turns out, there's a bit of an issue with using UrS4/S6/S6+ linkage in a T44. It may be due to the fact that the transmission spacer isn't used in my setup. Either way, the shift linkage is .5" to 1" too short. Tomorrow morning I plan to lengthen it 1" to alleviate the issue.

Shifter linkage lengthened and works flawless now. Car is almost entirely back together. Just have to wiring in the reverse switch, install the exhaust (downpipe already in) and the upper intercooler pipe.

Drivers side axle has been mailed to our friends at Iroz Motorsport to be shortened  !

So close!!
