The tach is a bit off it seems or maybe it's the camera angle, lol. My Limiter is at 7500 if I remember correctly. You'll notice the CEL flash in 1st gear, that's my shift light which begins at 7300.

How much boost are you running? Also, what timing at peak torque/redline and what fuel grade?

Sam,

I am currently running around 27psi and it tapers off to about 24psi.

Timing map:

This is on E85 fuel.

Log attached (you can see the config).

Damn quick! Car sounds great per usual. That ignition map is making me want E85 bad.. real bad

Cool. We're running very similar setups. I'm on a billet compressor wheel, tube header, and running 102 right now, but we're pretty close in terms of timing. Depending on temp I'm running 28-30psi, pretty steady to redline.

And still all on stock rods lol there should be a kids don't try this at home warning.

Still waiting for the dyno numbers! Looks and sounds fast man, any other reactions to the awic?

Btw that pressure plate worked great, thanks again!

How much torque your engine produces more or less ?

A friend broke 2 rods at 380-400hp but with ~600Nm ...

It's impressive to see how much abuses our engines can take

I would guess nick has got to be at least 400whp.

On E85 maybe, not on pump with that boost and that turbo. 30r .63 a/r.

Ya defiantly not on pump. I'm sure his pump tune has some what lower boost levels. Still pretty impressive for stock manifold and as mentioned .63 a/r housing...now if he would just jump on a dyno :D

Dyno after h2o :)

I run the same boost as on e85. Just less timing and that was only because of the intercooler. Now I'm good to go.

Based on races I've been in and track runs I think I'm right at 400awhp. My b5 is known to be 400awhp on 93 too and the cars are dead even and within 50lbs of each other.

If I make over 350whp in my 4k with the .63 I'll be very, very happy. I'd like to keep boost at around 24psi or less but hold it if possible. I think it's a goal I should reach pretty easily. My setup is solid enough for sure, got all the bases covered.

I think you'll have no problem with that Matt. All you need is a good tune.

I've been going through hell trying to get the car ready for H2O in such a short and rushed time. In the past three years it has been a breeze. Wax car, vacuum, drive 6 hours to OCMD and put a hurtin on B5 S4's :). This year has been so far from that...It's almost as if the 200 has been secretly telling me not to attend.

It all started with the ignition issues. Between diag, waiting for parts, shipping parts back and forth, etc it just took lots of time. Now that it has finally been taken care of that will lead to the next issues. Since the intercooler setup was new and untested (due to ignition) issues, I had a few leaks here and there. As short of an intake tract that it is, it's still not that easy to find pesky leaks. Pin down two leaks and take care of them. Now to make matters worse, the car needs to be completely re-tuned because I finally threw in the 7a FPR. Ok, off to tuning. What is going on!?!? Now the boost spikes like crazy then falls way back then resumes as normal... It also seems to spool much quicker and now I'm getting compressor surge! WTF. I figure it's because of my shorter intake, the boost comes on quicker (300-400rpm sooner!). Now I have to revise my WGDC profile to have the boost taper in a bit later. DAMN!

To add to that, now it's time to switch from E85 back to pump fuel for the 400 mile trip to MD. Ok, completely re-tune fuel again.

So, out tuning last night we're going around an on-ramp, hit an expansion separator and hear this metal clang in the rear end. WTF was that? Continue driving up the highway and I'm hearing a rubbing noise. Didn't sound horrible so we continued on home as we were headed there anyway. Pull into the garage and start investigating. The thing is HAMMERED to the ground. Pull the wheel to find that the snap ring on the coilovers popped out of place and I was riding on the bump stop! The axle ground away a bit of the coil-over lower perch. FML.

Image

Next issue, my bi-xenon shutter on the pass headlight was locked in the hi-beam position. lol. What is going on here? I fixed that today. Just un-flipped it and now it works fine. Odd.

And today, I decided to have the beast hang out in the garage with me, bring him out and he B-lines for the open door in the 200 thinking we were going for a ride. I don't mind him in the car but I'm trying to keep it clean for the show and his breed likes to leave their fur everywhere. lol. I went around the car to the seat he was in, only for him to jump right to the next seat, then into the back. LOL. I left him in there and went back to work.

Now things are looking good. Running good on pump gas, headlight, suspension are all in tact. All polished up and ready to go:

Be careful. I've had that same suspension issue happen to me twice now. And when you put the ring back on it might be a bit bent and it will pop right back off.
I took some HEAVY duty safety wire and ran it through the 2 holes and tightened it as tight as possible with it in the groove so I could run an auto X after it blew off on my first run.
It has held since then, but it kept coming off before running that safety wire.

I would recommend doing that or getting a new snap ring. Because it will probably pop off again 2 miles down the road.

I was honestly thinking the same thing. I'll be sure to do that. I did make sure to clean it out really good and tapped it in good with a punch and hammer. It still seemed to have some good spring left in it and snapped into place. Either way, better safe than sorry.

Thanks man!

The front blinkers are just factory ones sprayed with VHT Nightshades.
