Mud flaps on the fronts are on.

Working on reassembly. Cleaning all the accessories and repairing and cleaning the wire harnesses.

No BBQ this year for me as I'm working on things that won't get done in time. Picked up the stroker from Hank a few weeks ago and working on some minor finishing measures on the engine. First, the back of the block coolant port has to be added to the 2.5 block.

Drilled and tapped the bolt, then installed.

Had to track down a 16mm freeze plug for the back of the block as well. This will be installed by the weekend.

Flywheel and clutch will be attached and the engine will hopefully go in this weekend.

Once the engine is in the height of the block requires a custom idler pulley bracket. Trying to come up with a solution before I force Hank to make me one.

Would love to join the group this weekend, but want to put it together right. Hope it can fire up without any issues.

Did you get a frost plug with the coolant return nipple? That's on my stroker to do list as well, waiting for it to get shipped with some other required parts.
If you get stuck, I can send a pic or two of my idler pulley spacer/bracket (for inspiration).

The freeze plug goes below the coolant return. I had to get that from ECS tuning.
Send a pic please!

This one came from Hank. If that doesn't show you what you need, I can take some specific shots for you.

Darin, I can help build an idler for you if you want, does it need to be adjustable, or is the WP the old adjustable style? Im not going to BBQ either, and im planning to do the WP and T-belt on my A4Uspt this weekend, so I'll be working on car junk too. Have you tried an AAN adjuster for that by the way, It looks like it would just bolt on and likely work?

The last major piece to the 2.6 stroker....idler pulley bracket fabricated.

Dave K (scubadave) and I mocked it up with the regular length belt with cam and crank at TDC. Installed nicely and after a couple rotations everything still lines up. I'll be modifying and running the timing belt cover behind the belt and figuring out a cover.

I'll finish up some wiring harness clean up soon and hopefully fire it up.

Very nice, that turbo coolant return hose looks so close to the belt in that pic!

The cover will go over it and behind the belt. It will be fine.
