I had to take a break to go to school and do my school work, but I am scheduled to be back at the shop in a couple of hours. I have already put in 7 hours though today down there

Rear glass is in, trim is painted for hte most part, and the doors are 100%. I will probably save them for last, as to not bang them up getting carpet and seats back into the car.
I did let escalation get the best of me though.. I did the headliner in MicroSuede, taking advantage of the glass being out.. I also did the B and C pillers so I could put glass back in. They look really nice. I will eventually get the door cards, and other stuff done in the same material, but I gotta start lookign at the nessisary

I only have zebra crap on door cards now!!! I dyed the carpets black in a fit of brown hatred. hehe
Thanks again to Martin. The rear window went in without a hitch and looks fantastic!

Hey Hank, maybe when you get down to Vegas we can just find a quiet spot somewhere and nap. I'll be ready for one by then.

LOL!!
Dad, David has been a trooper in helping. He picked me up at 3am twice this week to get some work done in secret... Yesterday he asked my schedule for the next day and I told him that at some point, we ought to rest one of us as the driver.

You are welcome, glad it went to good use.
If you need anything else, let me know.
Car is going to be brilliant... may I suggest going to the quad light setup.
IMHO it looks much more aggressive than the single light setup, yes Craig, you were right.
Cheers

Quads look great IMO. As long as you push in the US bumpers or have Euros. Even tho I have slanted Euros - I think about converting back to a Quad H1/H4 setup....
Looking forward to seeing this car in 55 hours!!!!! :woowoo:

What is the exact color, LY3D Tornado Red? You Decided to not use Pearlecent White? Looks great is single stage or two stage paint ? :?
I would use a small diameter piece of polypropylene rope inside the rubber seals channel, set the glass into the seal, set the bottom edge of the glass into the frame closest to the dash, start one end of the rope in the seals channel on the bottom left side of window frame wrapping the rope into the channel over the top to the bottom right of the frame, trim the rope length as necessary, have someone on the out side to apply light pressure to the edge of the glass as you pull the rope out of the seals channel as you work from the inside, the rubber seal will now lip over the A pillers body weld seam etc over, and around, I would alternate left to right until you get to the top center. It's pretty simple guy I know that worked at a glass shop showed me the technique. I would then use non harding automotive glazing putty to complete the seal, this will keep water out for sure, you want to seal both the outer glass to seal then the body to seal mating surfaces. You can use eurothane class sealent but the stuff is like glue once dry, and should you have to remove the glass in the future it will be a real bitch to remove probably ruin the rubber seal I recomend the non harding glaze.... Make sure you clean the rubber seal real good before you do this process there will be old glazing that should come off with a flat blade screw driver, you can repeat this process for your rear, and side windows, makes installing classic car auto glass a cinch!

It's a 2 stage red that's pretty close to Tornado but the tornado color code wasn't used when the paint was bought.

I still have 10 hours. I am going to sleep for 2, as my productivity has gone down a bit in the last 2 hours. The interior lacks very little, and really the only things are doors and the front grill. When you go home and take a shower, and you put shampoo in your hair then conditioner, and then body wash in your hair, It is a bad sign of your mental state.
I am having some transmission issues with the linkage. I torqued down the motor and trans mounts, and now I dont have reverse and a stuborn 5th.. I think I may be rubbing somewhere..
More tomarrow.

I've done that a few times... good luck on the final push!

You don't need 5th or reverse. So much power you can always 'spin' the car around....
