The launch control on an open downpipe is freaking badass.
I laid down on the concrete and it literally feels like a shockwave is hitting me each time the car goes off.

Thanks guys! It runs and drives!

But I have a crap load of drivability issues right now. :( So anywyas, I'm pooped, I will fill you guys in more tomorrow. Needless to say this transmission is a POS and my lower shift box bushing decided to disintegrate. LOL SO I guess if anybody going to BBQ has some new bushings that they could sell me that would be really amazing.

Haha, damn it. Nice work anyway, too bad about the bushings.

The one that holds the base of the shifter handle in.
SO anyways, quick update. The trans needs some love, the 1-2 shift collar is totally frozen up and the input shaft bearing is making loud nasty noises at idle. So even if I did attempt the trip with it, I don't think it would make it without catastrophic results. My guess is whatever flaked off of 5th gear made love to that shift collar and input shaft bearing. So tonight I am swapping in an 01E that Dan was going to have me test in hopes that it's good. Otherwise, I'm just going to have to bag the car this go around.

Truth be told man, I'd rather not say at this point. But I will say, the situation is getting resolved in a timely honorable way.

EDIT: I also just wanted to add, that no one here is getting butt diddled, things will work out just fine.
