Blasted linkage. 4 hours of adjustment, and I am still in the same boat. I am stumped.

I wish I could help you...I think you need a helper there to shift as you watch what linkage does.

Did you lower your tranny mounts like I did? I had couple of washers between rubber mounts and the subframes to lower the transmission a bit. No issues with shifting here, everything is buttoned down.

Cheers

I think you need to move the pivot going across the transmission to one of the holes on the top of the lever you have drilled.

I actually extended mine even further up to give a shorter throw left to right.

Did you try driving it or just engaging gears sitting still? We had a similar problem with the last cq 6spd 01e install then we gave up and pushed the car out(not having reverse..then he tried after it was running at it went right in..? Been fine since, I believe.

Small update to lots of progress.. The lack of gates other then the 3-4 gate ended up being the updated detent I used. I was stumped because I have the jig setup with measurements to the tunnel but theoem detent. Seven hours later I got it but it cost me putting on the trim handles and some of the interior. I figured the vegas meet would rather have another urn VS a sob story..

We hit the road. I just realized that I forgot my camera so post up pictures if you take them in Vegas

Dang, I wish I had a quarter of the motivation that you have. Good work!!! Did you build the linkage yourself for the 01e? or did you have some of the 01e linkages?

So I have put about 750 miles on the car since Las Vegas. Slowly inbetween classes and before class, I have been putting things back together at a snails pace. It is starting to shape up though. I gave her a washing today, and discovered my first door ding... The hood had contact with the engine in vegas. The Density Track mounts are nice, but they dont like clutch drops from the light.

Anyway, here are some pictures

Turns out, axles dont like those 500WHP drops either.. I need to figure out how to beef those up. I chopped a 5kq one up the other day to find them to be drawn, and then friction welded. This is good as it give me confidence to reweld them after shortening them and putting a chromoly tube on the inside with weld pins and then heat treated. I may try this soon..
All the overspray on the under side of the car washes off too.. I just have not cleaned the shop up enough to put it on the lift and pressure wash. :)

Car looks great, Hank!

You twisted those axles, alright.

Mine are bent though, and that's not from any launches or mad whp. Go figure.

The car looks awesome man..... I love it...... gives me hope for mine one day. Although I doubt I will be doing the paint-work since it is 3-stage pearl. Sucks about the axles but I am sure you will find a solution. Good luck!!! :-) :-)
