interior looks great, but I think the paint could do with a good polish regarding pic. 4 on this page.

Yep. It is still shrinking slightly. That's why I am holding off on putting hte decals back on. I dont know when I'll have time to cut and polish the thing, but it is in the plans.

Thanks guys.

Hank did you paint your front grill? It looks pretty good without the usual fading. I haven't worked up the nerve to paint all the plastic grill knowing that if it doesn't stick real well faded will look good in comparison.

Use neatsfoot oil on the grills and plastic items, it will re-impregnate the plastics with the oils they have lots during their aging. You can get it and anyplace that sells supplies for horses / saddles. John, there is a Tack Shop at Farm and Durango next to the credit union or just take some of mine, I have a bottle that is nearly empty - plus a full one. It does wonders for your cuticles too ;O} lol

Hank the car turned out great, still have a few little details to chase down Im sure but it's been quite the transformation to say the least.

No, Just a little elbow greese to get it to clean up. painted grills usually look great for about 2k miles I have found.

Does the neatsfoot oil collect dust and dirt on the grill, because that doesn't sound fun either?

No! Don't polish! Give that paint a few months to set before you polish. Mild wax is okay. (JM2C)

Yep. I used the Dupont Chromabase clear, and they recommend 3 weeks before cutting and polishing. This is obviously the bare minimum they recommend. A couple more weeks of cure time, especially in the cold weather we have been having without sun, is probably best. Works great because I have no time.

Phfeshew!! It looks so sharp the last thing i would want for ya is a dulled to stripped fresh red! By the way, is that a tornado replica color?

Nope. Graphic Red. I wanted it to be a tad more bright then tornado offers.

Did I give you my old angle buffer? I know that when I was up there picking up Her Urq that I bought a cheap Harbor Freight buffer that had speed control and thought maybe I had given you the other one. If not and you want it I'd still give it to you, but you have to be real careful not to burn through and especially on the sharp edges. It might be worth your time to either come down to Vegas to cut and polish, borrow my variable speed buffer, or buy one from HF. They really are pretty cheap.
