and crap, I never got that video. I really need some brake work on this scary thing. I am guessing that going for it in first, on up through the gears, that the speedo needle takes VERY close to a second to get from 40 to 60 mph. I would like a vid to confirm this.

I own this bumper:
http://wetzelsracing.com/products.htmA half ass mold job from a non reinforced bumper cover as a plug saves 2 hours of mold guy's time and cost the bumper purchaser 8 to fix it...times that by how many bumpers are sold.....the mold guy deserves to be kicked in the nuts a lot. :x

Not to thread jack, but does anyone have any sort of measurement for the rs2 bumper? Basically I want to see if it will cover my intercooler as is or if I'll have to move it up

I'm with you on the kicks to the nuts.
I think I've spent 40+ hours on mine and it's still far from acceptable.
-I kept the factory rebar, added a big intercooler, and it's a B3 so I think there wasn't a whole lot of 'bolt on' to begin with.... woulda been nice if I didn't have to deal with warpage issues as well.
Good luck with it, looking good!

That is probably too wide to fit within the middle opening. I think mine has a 28" wide core or something, and with 90* couplers on each end tank it just barely fits inside.

I just wondered if I was lied to about the place of origin in addition to being sold something that was really bad. Does not matter because with some time I can come out lookin good.

The beauty of the fiberglass is it is highly customizable and no matter how bad it is, it can be fixed. My original plan required it to be something that could be made into whatever I needed it to be as I finalized my build specs. That is the main reason I bought a knock off. Just pisses me off, as a guy that is usually more than happy to donate a few minutes of my time, if it saves someone else wrestling with something for an hour that the mold guy must be the opposite.
I did take the most warped one of the group that was sent to me so others will probably not have as much work into theirs.

-Thanks Peter; you were definitely a gentleman in taking the worst of them, I was in on that group buy.
Ill tell ya though, been sharing the pain seriously.
I'm going to have to consider your method there to straighten mine up, then maybe we can meet up and trade notes

So... what's happening with this? It ever make 500hp?

No, not yet and not likely. It probably could make 500chp with e85 but I am not going to run e85 on a 7.5:1 engine. I do expect more to come however. I have a new treadstone intercooler and the car needs a brake upgrade, some bumper shaping, and a paint job. If it were not in the 20s still I would have already been working on it. It is normally around 50 on a nice day by now.

I hear u, this never ending winter is really sucking my frozen balls off. Usually by my birthday the warmer weather is here and the white shit is melting or melted. Really makes it a bish to do ANYTHING on the car, let alone what HAS to be done.
