Small update. After hearing that I woudn't be recieving my euro lights for a few more weeks I decided to put my front end together with the stock lights.
What is looks like now...
And then a fewdays later these arrived.
Good joke Derek! Now I have to take it all back apart a lot sooner than I thought I would be Just so I can make it look better. LOL
EDIT: Just remembered I'm waiting on the Brackets. Looks like I get to run the ugly stockers for a few weeks. YAY! All that work isn't going to waste.

Dan car looks great count me in for Tahoe trip please
Dave is it going to be more fun then the white 84 URQ v8 twin turbo? lol by the way I did not get it.They wanted way too much for it and it needed lots of work. However Derek is working on my coupe Looking forward to see you guys att BBQ2012
I don't plan on going turbo on this car. It will still be fun for sure no doubt. I'm sorry they wanted too much for it. That jackass needs to loose his car for sure. It would be sad if he diddnt. BBQ2 was good times for sure. Looking forward to BBQ3.
Dan, thanks. At this point I don't have a schem for the 40v yet. That's about all I need for now I think.

Thanks for the offer Mike. I"ll keep you in mind but I'm I think its pretty safe to say I will be getting the brackets from Derek as I gave them to him a while back as part of a parts/cash exchange for the euros that i have now. He just forgot that i had given them to him, so now he has an extra set stashed somewhere that need to make their way down to me. Its not a problem though since I put on the stock lights and they work for now, just ugly.

I started driving my car about a week ago and since the weather has been really wet and cool I havnt worried too much about tire wear and overheating. Its been serving daily driver status for about four days now and as long as the weather stays cool and wet I'll keep it going. It really is an awesome experience every time.
I tried playing with a new camaro SS on the highway today and the guy didnt want anything to do with me. That made me sad so I bounced it off the 7200 rpm limiter in third gear at about a buck and I felt much better I think I have the good angel/bad angel on my shoulders thing going on. One angel tells me to drive easy and save gas, while the other one tells me to take it to 7000 rpm in every gear. I think you know which one is winning...I've filled up twice in seven days...and I haven't driven father than about five miles from my house. LOL

was it worth the wait and price of admission? Why are there no more vids?!
do you have the intake changeover working yet too? should be like 5500 and 6300 iirc. that in conjunction with the cam timing switch over at 6300 should be umbeeelieeeebable

Derek, of course it was worth the wait. Good things always are. It's been super wet lately so I havnt bothered to put the gopro on the back since the video would just be a blurr with awesome sound. About the intake changeover, Ben made me some videos of his in action just free revving it. It seems that one of them moves just off of idle and the other at about 4400-4500 rpm. Makes me wonder if it changes once the car is put in gear. One thing at a time. First will be fix tail lights(broken wires), cooling fan, then string alignment just so I can drive the car to UTI and have my instructer buddy ailgn it for me. Then I"ll move onto the more performance ariented items.
Chris, safety is always a concern of mine. I dont mess around when there are pedestrians I can see or when there are other cars close by. Its just very hard to keep the right pedal off the floor when you have a great sounding car. I"m sure you know exactly what i'm talking about.
Mike, I've been prodded for more inside videos so I"ll see what i can do about that today. Maybe that will hold you over until we meet up.
Justin, sadly not yet. But I did put them on the shelf where the car can see them. I have not taken time to do any part swapping or wiring yet. But that should change soon. I think i'm going to put the quattro selector back in its original home and mount the gauges i got from you where the radio used to be.

You will get there Ben, it just takes time. I'm already thinkin of cutting back on the driving since the gas is gonna kill me. LOL
Well that video just One'd up the crap out of my turbo pictures. The car sounds Awesome Dan! Next time you should try and get the camera further up so we can see down the road though

That's what I was referring to. I know that you don't mess around when pedestrians are near. I meant please avoid wrapping yourself around a tree. I totally understand that you want to press the loud pedal hard. But it is a lightweight car and you have a V8. Just sayin'
OK, sermon over. Please carry on being awesome.

Ben, not tring to one-up you. Think of this as some motorvation for you.
Chris, I completely understand what you are saying. Speed kills, and it is good to have someone tell you to slow down and think of what you are doing every once in a while. Everyone that has a fast car is bound to mess around. I'm just trying to do it in the safest manner possible and doing my best to keep it within reason. If something were to happen I just dont want anyone but myself involved. I really do thank you for your concern.
Derek, you may go clean yourself now. LOL
Chris, its now your turn to get that 200 boostin with that ginormous snail and get some vids.

Yes, its another video. This time I used the go pro on the driver quaterpanel so no more loose camera filming the leather seat LOL. This is going up one of the three ways through the canyon starting under the foresthill bridge. Theres a couple places where I slow down because of byciclists. Enjoy.
