They said they don't make axles for our cars last time I called, but maybe I can get them to make something custom...then we'd have a source for some of the best axles period. Who'd be interested in that? If not full axles, then maybe at least a good source for some CVs.
If they won't, then this place might:

Hmm I wonder if they will have an application for the 200 or if it will have to be custom. I don't want to pour too much money into axles on this car because of 01E in the future. I'll definitely call them up and see what they've got to offer

Have you actually had an axle fail due to too much power? If not, why are you even bothering with those? Just rebuild what's in it, if they aren't too damaged, or get good used units.

Generally, the shaft will bend or break before a CV explodes (if everything is in good condition).

Damn, attitude! of course I haven't had one fail to too much power. You know that, so I don't know why you ask.
Anyway, thats the point of Raxles. They use the stock axle shaft and rebuild with better than new CV's.
I don't know if you've noticed or not Mark...but there next to no axles/CV's for my car available. I am indeed getting a good (hopefully) used one from Tim. Its just that I know the passenger one is probably going to go in the future too and it would be nice to have a source to get them new/reconditioned.
I'm not looking for custom, beefed up units...just as good or little better than stock ones like Raxles would do for me (and possibly DSS).
I'd love to know if you have a suggestion for where I can get CV's to rebuild mine with. Thats what I wanted to do in the first place, but couldn't find any.

It sounds like only one of your CVs is bad, unless I read wrong, and if it's only clicking, you can probably just repack it with grease and replace the boot. Minimal work, especially since you're going to have to replace the the axles when you go to an 01E.

Agreed. Its clicking and clunking around a LOT though...so it could be both, but I don't see how they'd both go at the same time. That would be kinda weird.
I guess I could try repacking it. Its definitely not worth replacing them all, but I'm just trying to look out for if I HAD to do it.
Sorry for sounding kinda defensive in the last post, but your post just came off as a little demeaning, so I had to retaliate a little

I'd still like to know if there is a good source for CV's out there!
injectors...

Out of curiosity did you receive your "ID" 1000cc injectors yet? Curious to hear your thoughts. I ordered them as well, but I'm not too impressed with the bait and switch. :-(

Yeah...me either. I was kinda pissed really, but I actually didn't want ID's anyway. What I really want is the Injector Clinic 1100s...but I'll probably just run the "ID's" for now I spose.
They should be here Monday according to Scott. I'd love to send them back, but I don't know if I can wait that long to turn the boost up!

LOL, you described my predicament exactly. Is it worth the time/trouble? The rub is the FIC injectors are cheaper and I'm at least familiar with their repeatability. The "ID" injectors we're getting are an unknown quantity. :frustrated:
Hope they work well for you; please post your impressions of how stable they are at idle. You don't get individual cyl knock voltages with your ecu do you? I'd keep an eye on each plug after a hard run to see if all the injectors are performing the same.

I just bought two sets of plugs for tuning actually.
The other thing is that FIC is 15 minutes away from me and I have a way to get them for ~$100 cheaper than the price we got on these "ID's." If you want to talk, maybe we can set something up to return them and get some FIC ones.
FWIW, the FIC ones and the ones we are getting (genesis) use the same bosch injector as ID's. ID isn't doing anything new or innovative. They claim they are though. A lot of people are pissed off about that. Its just a drilled out tip. Granted it takes special equipment to do it...but yeah...its been around for years. Buddy of mine was the one who found out they only flow 880 or so CC's BTW. ID flows them on C16 instead of the industry standard and thats where they get the 1000cc number. WTF is that shit? Shady, shady stuff.

Someone who works for them sold us ID 1000's. We are getting Genesis 1000's. Supposedly its the same thing. (same injector body and same modification)
It was supposedly an honest mistake by Quinton. I dunno. I called them ID1000's MANY times when we were discussing the purchase.

I even included the ID part numbers on my paypal comments. My email said at the outset "these are not 'real' ID1000s". I think yours probably shipped first so he may have found that out after yours went out?

lol yeah...
I really don't care at the moment because I just fixed my window reg. YESSSSSS finally. Its been cracking and groaning for almost the entire time I've had the car up until the last month or so when it ceased to even move anymore lol.
Its really not that bad once you figure out what the heck is goin on inside that door. Using the junkyard 100/200 was a nice way to learn. I love tearing cars apart with no care of how I get the job done. It makes it so you can rip into it and break crap, but then learn what broke, why, and how to not do it on your own car haha

Got injectors in the mail with 850cc / 43.5psi inscribed on them haha
I've never seen such a small injector or such a light one either. I'd say 5 of these weighs as much as one of my stock ones.
Now waiting on EV1 to EV14 plugs :/ still not sure if I want to keep these. We'll see I guess.
