Looks good! Just as a BTDT, an 1 3/8" hole saw works very well, and quick to get old bushings out. You still have to split the outer shell, but you dont have all the cooling time from burning them out.

Yeah that was suggested but I only have a 2" and 3" holesaw. I'm not running out and spending another $15+ when I have FIRE right there lol

Makes sense. I have easy access to all the toys here at work, so it was just easier for me.

Ugh, I just pulled off a hunk of the outer metal ring on my control arm bushing…. way to make me feel bad.

HOLY SHIT WHAT A DIFFERENCE
Yea, Yea, bushings, blah........

What I want to know is if that is also your feeling about that turbo with boost cranked up?
Scubadave said "the juice is worth the squeeze". Well, IS IT?
I'm a lazy bastard who needs some motivation to tear into my car!

(Nice work all around btw!)

yeah. Turns out it had started rubbing on the axle and I never caught it. It's been fixed with some zipties to keep it from doing that again.

The turbo cranked up to 16 vs 13psi certainly has shown a difference. The torque hits WAY harder now. 2nd gear at 40 mph.....floor it, rear end damn near drags on the ground (even with the 2-3" lift lol)

And that's still on CIS. once you finally move to EFI, you won't know what hit you. 16 is all fine and dandy, but once you crest 25 its a whole other ballgame. I stand by my statement about the juice, but sell off the turbo if you must. I wish my clutch wasn't slipping when we were in Vegas last year so you could have felt what 33 on E85 was like. that Volvo and the billet k26 are very similar except that the Volvo spools much faster. its a monster and you havnt even seen what its capable of.

The 7400 is significantly smaller than the billet k26. I think it is a perfect turbo for the lack of head flow in the 20v though. The 20vt has a self imposed restrictor, aka the head. So the strategy to a fun 20vt is a lot of boost upfront and early to make insane torque and then let the 20v flow run its course dying off around 6500. This would be the forte of the 7400. You would need great fuel, aka e85, and standalone to do that though. I bet on standalone and volvo 7400 I could make 400wtq and 325whp without even thinking, and that is on the stock manifolds. If I were hell bent about sticking 20vt, that would be my strategy. It would be a pretty fun car.

I remember you were talking about hogging out the billet k26 - Did you ever end up with final numbers of A/R and specs? Some of us are still interested as q2/q3 approaches
