It is a little IHI RBH31 with a 21mm inducer turbo. It is a designed for engines making anywhere from 25hp to 85hp!! Should have our little 250cc engine spooled up by 6500 and hold boost to redline at 12500

I call misdirection.......Hank is finely coming around to the value of early spool in his Urq. I think he figures that he ought to get full boost at around 1.5k rpms on the stroker seeing that he will have more displacement at 2.6l. I've been telling him since high school that he doesn't need such big turbos. I've never been able to get through to him until now it looks like.

He'll need about 12 of those for the 2.6! :)

5 of those mini turbos wouldn't do anything. 85hp x 5=450hp ...well shy of what he needs. 10? Yeah, that would be about right. :)

I got to the shop tonight for a bit tonight to finish off the 996tt brake brackets and mock up the tall deck for my new header and downpipe. I am still waiting for some stuff to finish off the wastegate, but everything looks like it is going to fit with stock motormount position given that the motor is solid mounted. I wanted a new valve cover before bbq, but I only have two saturdays to finish up.

I got down to the shop for a couple of hours tonight after school. I needed to make a crank pulley so I could get the assembly dropped off tomorrow for balance. This is what I ended up with. I wanted to start off with the AAN pulley as the rubber is usually nicer and lots wider than the 7a/vbelt stuff. I thought about going serp, but I want to go electric PS pump, so the only accessory I would have is the alternator. It just made more sense to go with a vbelt setup. I trimmed the AAN pully down from 11.5lbs of the old setup to 6lbs of the new one. Most of the weight is out side of the rubber so I am confident that hte dampening effect will still occur. I also deleted the chunks for the crank tool as I rarely use it anyway( I typically tighten in gear with the ebrake on). Got my new trigger wheel on, and hopefully this setup will yield easy starting with the good signal.

oh, and my favorite part. I machined the v-belt groves to accept the available gates belts vs the super skinny belts NLA that the car really wants. Hopefully these like 8500rpm a bit more than the last ones

Nice work Hank. Does it matter that the keyway is messed up though?

I have a way to get them made, I just need to make sure I'm not stepping on any toes first... after I get that straightened out, I'll move along with it as quickly as possible.
