I run wastegate pressure on the track at 18psi for a number of reasons. The motor barely sweats at this level, no water injection needed, easier on cooling, brakes, etc. But, the biggest reason of all, it's exhausting driving this thing at full power for 30min in the desert around a track!

I'll flip on the high boost map when I need to dispose of a ZR1 or something that thinks they don't need to point me by:)

Just ordered one of these.
http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/jims ... p-178.html

The plan is to setup two different ECU's side by side and replicate the tune so I can swap them back and forth.

I figured you had something like this. I had motors and trigger wheels picked out, then I found the jimstim! This way I can feed the ECU's the same inputs and make sure that timing and fuel is identical between the two at any given load.

Sweet idea!

What would be the purpose of the two ECU's? One for street, one for track?

Sounds like he's going to use it to clone his current IIC tune on VEMS ;)

Yeah, I got that. Just wasn't sure why it would be back and forth once he went to VEMS ;)

The main goal is to duplicate ign table in the tune. The car is running like a top and I don't want to start from scratch, or hog all of the dyno time at BBQ :) The IIc is still a nice ECU, if some day there was a worthwhile update I would like to test it out. I have been a tester since day 1 and don't want to completely write it off.

Still have not finished the VEMS install yet, but do have all of the wires mapped out and intermediate Deutsch connectors installed. Then I got sidetracked when this arrived. Spent Sunday running power for it. Combo 200amp IGBT Everlast TIG/Plasma cutter

I think its pretty fair to say that the IIC ecu is all done with updates. "The Architect" seems to have lost interest, or sales are slow enough that he's not willing to put the time in anymore.

I'm surprised they haven't dropped the price to be honest to help it compete.

Nice score on the tig jim. I have the 250 amp version and have been learning all its quirks. I can tell you now, buy a better torch, 25' is the right length for a home garage. Buy a 25' ground cable, and ends to go with it. Buy a better clamp for stick, mine broke pretty quick. And may as well get a 25' length of cable for that too, to go with the longer ground cable. I havnt used the plasma yet, but im sure I will be ugrading that soon enough. Get a pedal, the one they supply is total shit and broke within 5 mins. The unit works great for what it is, but the extras they give you are pretty much garbage. I also got their cooler too which works fine.

It took me 5 months to get this harness together just so I can swap ECU's in less than a minute. Still not sure why I need to do this but now I can!

Anyone have a known good 7a distributor they want to let me borrow? I have a perfect condition distributor with metal gear that I thought had a bad hall sensor. So I replaced the hall sensor and I still can't get a secondary cam sync on VEMs or 034. Not sure what is going on with it.

Maybe I should rig up an external hall sensor that triggers off the cam lobe.

No secondary triggers recorded at all. Going to go verify wiring now.
