Hehehe, I was just coming in here Nick to tell you to 07k it :)

I am legitimately looking for a transverse something to swap one into for DD duties. As much as a TT would be the easiest, I think I am going to look for a Jetta Sportswagon or maybe just a regular Jetta, then come up with a wrecked TT to make it awd Haldex style.

I would love to see a big fat vw b6/b7 wagon with some silly power... Plus they are everywhere at a reasonable price

It is a proclip and they are excellent. I have one in the 200 and S4 as well.

In the future I may be down to use my TT as a guinea pig.

Been a while since an update here. The Golf is basically at the point where I will no longer do any performance mods to it, well until it needs a clutch. Since the last update here, I have gone to APR Stage 2+. For those who don't follow these things that includes APR's upgraded HPFP and a full turbo back exhaust. I went with APR's exhaust for it as well. I chose that exhaust because I had the opportunity to drive one with it previously and really liked it. It's almost silent and the car sounds stock during normal driving and at highway speeds. When you put your foot in it it has a great sound which still isn't overpowering sound levels. Some actually complain it's too quiet. Perfect for DD.

Image

I also added the Euro LED tail lights (a must have for these cars) which includes a rear fog light :)

Audi TTS engine cover (necessary if you install and aftermarket intake on these engines):

All I am waiting for is a software update from APR to enable launch control. An almost identically modded R just went 12.4 @ 113. Not bad!

Moar pics for fun:

Looks hot, as usual. Really diggin' on the euro tails.

What are your plans for the clutch?

That there is a nice car! I also had to mention that I prefer the USDM tails - I'm aware that it isn't my car heheh

Thanks man! Clutches are tricky with the 2.0T stuff. It seems like no company makes a perfect setup. I think I may try and just buy a disk from clutchnet, unsprung hub and kevlar. Still undecided.

Thank you Sir. I typically prefer the warmer look. Though these were all shot at close to sunset.

I just really like having the rear fog light :)

Hey, you were in my neck of the woods! My dad and I like to take his B5 S4 through there (or other similar roads) whenever we go camping. Looks like you had fun!

Looks like a riot!

How do you like the Nokian zLine tyres? I tried to get the last generation up here and everyone made such a big deal about special ordering them that I gave up and went with Dunlop Star Specs off Tirerack instead (no complaints). Have you driven them hard in the rain? How's the noise/treadwear/turn-in and at-limit characteristics?

So no race file and NLS option in your future?

I doubt it'll be the end of mods for you...
