Remember too that my vc is about an inch taller than a 7a. The holder ia pretty slick. Would love to try those red ones. Did you find a complete kit with wire and ends like I did for the black hemi kit?

Summit lists 8 "pro sport" hemi tubes for $71 (the red ones) or 16 non "pro sport" tubes (8 red 8 black) for $103.

I clued Hank into these wires, but Janis gets the credit for trying them first. I think the reasons they work better than some of the other stuff are:
1) less strain on the plug boot when removing / insalling
2) no resistance in the 'tower' like some of the more 'stock' plug wire sets for these motors. I stopped selling those style ends because of the high failure rate. in these the resistance is in the wire, spiral core.
We also use a less expensive set we sell with the ls2 kits that have been performing well. also spiral wound wire, but with bmw mini spark plug ends:
(that particular image is of the magnecor kit, but the same thing is available in 'non magnecor' 8.5mm spiral wire)

I am running the magnecor and they work great. A little pricey at first glance, but you get what you pay for and may waste the same amount of money experimenting with MSD over time. I see why Hank needed something different, but for a 7A valve cover these are the ticket.

Pretty much Jim. I do like the tower being an isolated piece.

How are the magnecor in the AAN valve cover? I would assume they would be fine.

Nevermind. I read they work on that picture's website.

Are they made to user specific lengths?

I bought mine unterminated and crimped the coil ends to length.

Where is the crimp on the spark plug side? up on top of the cover or down by the plug?

I think it is down by the plug.

My pilot bearing would take a dump 6 days before the kickoff of BBQ. I probably could limp it around all weekend, but it sure is making terrible noises, chattering around a bunch and cna't be good for the input seal/bearing on the 01e. Ahhh, do I have the energy to drop a trans this week so I can beat on it this next week?

lol what?
to appease them (the gods) perhaps you should send the gtx35 here for testing when we dyno the car. just an idea... ahem... promise it'll return unscathed

Yeah, no kidding. Matt, I may be able to lend a gtx35r for science. I'll have good data on my motor soon with one. My car is hauling right now at 31psi, but the clutch feels like it is going to come through the floor at any moment above 6000 rpm and inbetween shifts. I'll likely swap the transmission on tuesday or wednesday and get this thing on the dyno this weekend.

Awesome. Really stoked to see a dyno of the HTA - you going to dyno the GTX as well then?
Also, random Q, is the URQ your daily?
