Yeah, put 5k miles on it this last month. About 1000 gallons worht of e85. I have a 08 chevy colorado with AC, but it is not nearly as fun to drive, despite the AC bonus.

Yeah, 2000cc injectors can drain a tank in a hurry. I am convinced I am keeping e85 at the local Rebel station all by myself.

Nice...yeah I get about 10mpg and that's only 25psi.

I can still get good mileage if cruising on the highway and staying out of the throttle...but what fun is that? :)

It's a good thing you have a somewhat short commute! Good to hear this thing is being driven on a regular basis, must feel good after all that effort :) Keep up the progress Hank!

holy crap! What are you doing driving more than 150 miles per day? It takes me over a year and a half to rack up that kind of mileage...

Well if you guys would have driven up to Pikes Peak with us that would have been about 3k in a weekend. I have put about 10k on my Irq since last Battleborn and if you remember right I wasn't running for the event. I just last week, put a new set of tires on the car. It helps not having to put them up for the winter!

Well, Pikes peak took up 3000 of those miles. Then I am 40 miles round trip to the speedway, 3 rips up Mt. Charleston, Cars N Coffee across town, trips to the machine shop and back, ect. Adds up!!

Jeff took my transmission out this afternoon. The sprung hub of the Southbend 6 puck seems to have eaten a few springs. The pilot bearing was shot, but I suspect hte clutch caused the bearing, not the other way around. Doesn't matter. Southbend is overnighting one tomorrow, so Wednesday morning, I should be back in business. Car rips!

2 weeks ago, I had a 450 mile commute (round trip). Left home at 6 am, got to work at 9:30 am, left at 11 am, and got back home finally around 4 pm. :)

I have 15 mile commutes some days, but others I commute through 3 states...driving.

But do you do it in a solid mounted, 6 puck mega pedal clutch, big turbined 3" open exhaust, no AC, no stereo but the one that counts, 450lb springs, loud summer summer track tires, 600whp 30 year old car in Vegas with a black interior?

;)

I probably have changed more transmissions this year than most have changed oil

out of curiosity what do you spend on transmissions a year to keep that monster moving among other expenses? I spend about an average of 2-250 a month in gas, and insurance roughly. I cant imagine having a transmission allotment just to drive.

LOL Dana. Over the last year, I get about 3,000 MPT.

On the round trip to Pikes, I averaged around 18mpg, but the the average speed was easily in the 90s, and the majority of it was blasting up the hills to 120, braking at the top incase HP is up there, then blasting to the next sketchy place. The last 200 miles was all 55mph zones in the mountains too.

While I wish I wouldn't have had to pull the trans for the clutch, I can not say enough good about Southbend. This is why I keep using their products. Next day air'ed disk to replace the broken spring disk I had. Sent pictures of the failure, they sent a new disk. Right on. :woowoo:

Now to find time to get 500 miles on it before the dyno on Sunday!

So if the Trans is out, will you put a new one in?
Can't be much life left in it at this rate :)
