Yeah...when you (me) sleep till the crack of noon every day, and have 3 1/2 hrs till you go to work, you have to find the time when you can. Besides, I had to make a food item for a pot luck, so I had even less time to work on the car. No time really. I like my job now. I dont get greasy, dont get frustrated with issues that dont go your way and take too much time, and dont have to wonder if I'm going to make enough money on flat rate to pay the bills over winter. I have medical and dental, and can earn up to 180 hours of paid vaca plus 30 hrs of floating holliday I can generally use any time I want, even if I want to use it alll at once. Thats more than a month off! Money ain't bad, and no stress. I should clairify...NO STRESS! Its a good gig, and I'll ride it as long as I am permitted.

Sure I got to fix some pretty cool cars. Meh... I built a pretty cool car that can run with the top of the pack and doesnt cost an arm and a leg to insure. Im happy.

Got the car mostly there. I have some tweeks to make to the rear suspension to drop the diff a bit since the trans/diff mounts raised it up so now the exhaust is resting on the bracket. should be pretty quick with a spacer in just the right place. I still have to reinstall my stereo after removal for the boost gauge pod I made out of alum for the left of center vent. Ill snap a pic when its all together and looking good.

I filled the cooling system for the A-W, and ran out of coolant for engine coolant, so went an picked some more G05 up. I filled the engine with break in oil, and will most likely fire the engine tomorrow.

Everything seems to have turned out well (fingers crossed) and will have to reserve my final praise for the new work for after it has some miles on it without leaking all its car blood out. I will likely have to do my second oil change down in vegas which is ok I guess. seems I may as well use the trip down to put on the bulk of the break in miles. I just ran out of time for the rest of the fine details I had envisioned. Its still pretty sweet for what I have done so far. More in a day or two.

Its dealer coolant. About $25 per gallon of concentrate. It's the latest and greatest European formula

G05 works very well for my specs. and at 20 a gal unmixed works out fine for me. antifreeze is getting re-dick expensive!

Wait, wut? G05? Thought OEM spec for these cars (period correct) was G11?

Never had a problem with it. It will mix with pretty much anything, and works well in Euro cars. Its what we used when I worked at a euro shop. Specifically, I am talking about Zerex G05.

Well, I have done what I could to have this car ready to go on a trip 430ish miles away. I did not get a chance to fully break in the engine before the trip, It will have to be done on the drive. I have managed to put about 80 miles on it so far. Nate and I will be leaving here early afternoonish and will prob make it down there in about 5-6 hours. The days of salt lake to vegas in 4 hrs and 30 minutes are long gone thanks to the UHP. They have bulked up in force since then, and its more dangerous to give er the gas now a days. but, thats ok since the speed limit is now 80 mph throughout most of the Utah I15 corridor. At least its not super slow.

I have found that the radiator is working, and not leaking. It does need a fan shroud to help keep the temps controlled at a quicker rate. I will need to design and cut the shroud when I get back, and wont be going on any long scenic desert drives while Im down there.

Here is a crappy cell of it in its ready state.
