I dont think thats going to be enough for the ecu. Try just running a temp 12v power to the ecm(straight from the battery if possible) and then see what happens.

Well i fixed the switched 12v problem. I now get about 11-12v when cranking. Still no spark :(

Hey just noticed, tere is a 3-pin connector on the side of the fuel dizzy. Does anything plug into it??? I dont see a connector for it

Well Id ensure that the timing is dead on. If its not right on then spark aint happenin :)

I think my ignition timing was off, but not by much, but it was causing a no spark issue.

Not so sure about the 3 pin connecter. Isnt there some sort of fuel switch or sensor on the jt fuel dizzy? maybe the connecter is for that, unless its part of the 5k harness...if so, then i have no idea.

Try cranking the engine and slowly rotating the dist and see if it trys to fire.

That 3 pin connector is how the factory 5k trip computer measures MPG and whatnot.

I managed to get A spark and nothing more. Coil checks out but getting no spark from coil. I am testing the signal wire (green) on the hall sender and its coming up with like 3.5-4 ohms of resistance

Long story short, the no spark issue ended up being a multitude of things. First one was the switched power supplying the ECM and ISVC. Switched the power supply over to fuse #24 from whatever it was that I was using.

Then after looking at the bently, I was concentrating on a picture that showed all the connections to the ECM. I saw the two connectors that went to the TDC/RPM connectors and it had an exact picture of which hole each goes into. Looked at mine, and sure enough, they were backwards. I had switched them earlier, but still had no spark. Why? Because that's when I had the bad power supply and the ECM had no power to activate the spark. I switched them back before fixing the power supply.

Once I swapped the connectors, sure enough spark came to the plug that I had out in the open. Plugged it in and started cranking. Got a little sputter but didnt run. Plugged up all the open air holes that I had forgotten to plug up, and sure enough it started idling. :slap:

YAY! This is an epic milestone. Arent you glad now that your messed around and got it running before finishing the suspension. Now you will have all the motivation in the world to finish the other stuff so you can drive it. Last but not least, congratulations :-)

Thanks man! I could not have done this without everyone here. I've learned so much about mechanics and electricity from this swap that it's funny. My school starts tomorrow, so it was perfect timing getting this thing running tonight. This only motivates me to complete my Mechanical and Electrical engineering degrees.

Maybe I'll build a jet engine Audi next.......
