Martin - Looks GREAT. Even tho I have the slanted Euro lights - I do agree - the Quads look awesome - if the bumper is pushed in or have the Euro front bumper.

Great job.

Small update, Shannon took a bit of aback seat since I started the TDI project, but she got her first oil change and also decided that having orange digi is not special enough and installed the green one instead.

Still waiting for Tartan Motorsports to deliver the exhaust, Craig was nice enough to bring the rear pipe and muffler welded all together to our last gathering.
Lets just say I needed a Kleenex.

Can't wait to have the system on the car.

Spoke to Brady and we are shooting for one of the last weekends in Aug. or First in Sep to tune this car.
It will be a fun trip to Montreal.

Cheers

Shannon has attended her first car show last Sunday, VAGKRAFT.
Lucky for her she made it into a pretty cool video. About half way in (3:25).
She also got 1st place in her category! Or so I am told, I had to leave early, my 3 year old was getting tired.

Enjoy!

Does your digidash have the voice synthesized 'Patrizia'? Can it be set up for different languages?

Voice is not part of any digidash, it was a seperate box sort of like Auto check unit in typ 89 cars with it's own harness and connection to the speaker.

I might install it just for kicks and to get her to speak, but not having the matching harness all she's going to tell me is that everything is broken or needs attention.
Typical Ur I guess.

Yes, I see it is very much like the later autocheck functionally.

And in case anyone is wanting to read up a little on Patrizia...

That sure is a lot of sensors to keep happy. Do you have one to try?

I think it wouldn't be too long before she became a nagging reminder of things better left ignored.

Yep, I have one to try. There are few other things I need to do first though so it won't be anytime soon.

Cheers

Your car and about 9 others were the only ones that didn't make me want to punch baby kittens and murder. That looks like a whole show of shit. I love how there is an Oettinger MK1 and the faggot taping just skips over it to show you a shot of some other faggot's idiotic wheels with too narrow of tires. I remember when VW shows were fun-now they are a gathering of faggots on air and ill fitting wheel and tire combos.

Car looked great Martin! Hope none of the faggotness from that show rubbed off on Shannon. Now tell her how special she is and that you will never subject her to that again

She was far away from any of that funny stuff, even though it might just be cosmetic rather than purposefull, some of the mods were actually done very well.
I enjoyed the show and met a lot of quattro enthusiast that hopefully will show up for our next meeting.

Cheers

Got the take the car to local show again.. this one in Kitchener, called Berlin Klassik.

On the way back I took a scenic route and thought I'll play with the camera at speed... here is what I got.

My kids were asleep in the back seat, passed out. A good thing too, I am sure it would have given them a wrong idea if they saw what daddy was doing... doh!

Martin, the car looks nice! I really liked seeing it in the video, though I must say, my thoughts are inline with Richard's... I'm really glad you went for a more, shall I say, sensible approach with your wheels and tires.

Thanks.

I also appriciate what those "guys" are doing, it doesn't float my boat in the slightest, but if they are happy that's all that matters to them.

This show was more "normal" and I got to see some more classic air cooled stuff (cars and vans) as well as few Porsches and even couple of cool BMWs, like this turbocharged 3.0 CSL, bloody beautiful!

Now that car (In addition to the ur-q) is show worthy... It just annoys me seeing all these cars with idiotic cambered out setups. I just can't fathom why!
