Def shoot me a pm with Mike Sylvester's info. I'll take a set of those. I have been doing internet searches on these, on and off, for a few weeks now.

When the 200's ready, let me know. I'll drive my coupe out there. I am sure I will need something from Marc at that point. By then, both of us should have some fun parts to show off.

My wallet officially hurts.

The good news is, the Audi made it to Marcs safely (Friday) so thank you WeMoov! Also, a big decision has been made which means the build can commence :)

How long are you going to keep us in suspense?

Well the build will follow my original plan (de-stroke a tall-deck, dry sump, solid lifter, 11k RPM, and lots of power). The peer pressure of doing something a bit more modern wasn't enough. There would have been too many compromises to my original goals. I am pretty sure the car will be flex-fuel as well. I don't think I've shared that spec yet.

It will be up to Marc now to provide updates, so if anyone is creating suspense, it will be him :P

I'm thinking:

LC=TPS 100% Clutch 100% Ebreak 100%
ALS= TPS <50% Clutch 100% Ebreak 0%
NLS= TPS >90% Clutch 100% Ebreak 0%

Clutch and ebreak either = 0 or 100 (off/on)

Seems like 3 unique triggering situations.

I guess the question is if you really want to have all 3 available at once. The ALS would be hard to avoid under "normal" driving practices but NLS would have to be pretty intentional (hitting the clutch with >90% TPS). Maybe you would want two switches on a street car, depending on how often you are playing with LC.

It just occurred to me that the DIFF button/system may be useful as an alternate switch.

Ask Marc or Hank!

Struts have been sent to Bilstein to receive the shortening and re-valve they never got. Strut housings will be shortened to match soon.

Some parts for dry sump have come in, but we are still waiting for others from Europe (that is why I said ask Hank/Marc) before we can start really draining my bank account and making some real progress!

In other news, I'm hoping to fly into NY on my flight back from Saudi and pick up a nice E39 M5. My wallet will be crying, but I suppose it is a lot easier to stomach than the way I am throwing money at the Audi because I can sell the M5 for 90% of what I bought it for in a year or two if I were to be so inclined. With the Audi, it is just being thrown away lol. It better be a hell of a lot of fun, cuz I'm never getting that cash back! :slap: :D Oh the things we do with our 20+ year-old sedans that noone wants but us!

One interesting note is that USAA insurance is awesome! My insurance on the M5 is relatively reasonable at $900 per year (considering my age, and the car's performance figures) and they will let me put it on storage discount whenever I'm gone meaning that I save about 80% of my premium on all of my cars when I'm away. I just put the 200 on this today. I also upgraded it to full coverage just before I sent it up north. :woowoo: I'm sure they wouldn't give me much for it if it got in a crunch, and it would only apply to body damage since the engine is so modified, but it makes more sense with the storage discount for 2/3 of the year.
