Thanks for the offer Matt... but the chips I need require immo delete.. :(
I might pull the code and have a look, otherwise I am not qualified enough to know where the immo delete function in the software is.
On a good note, cot all codes cleared... ECU needs the alternator load signal.. lucky for me the A6 4.2 has a 150Amp alternator that is a direct replacement and has the voltage regulator with the DF signal output. All completed, we shall now see if the mileage will improve, I know the power is much much better and I can use the cruise control function now... all around a good day in diesel land.
