Jesus. The only luck you've had with VEMS is no luck.
What a bummer.

Marc can fix it. Not too expensive and a common mistake if you accidentally put even 5v to it. Been there done that.

Lol tell me about it!
One thing for sure. My launch control circuit wiring is solid. Did several tests with my multimeter and still concluded that I didn't destroy this chip.
Just frustrated at this time I guess.

So ya what do you guys think about launch control and my stocker cats? Gonna blow them up? Is it all in my settings and how much I make it back fire? Is it the longevity of the launch control use per session? It feels like one of those "your results may vary" deals. I prefer to not regret this

. Afterall it's going to initially cost me money to even use this crap! ; (

Yeah, best not to use it with cats honestly. Get a dump before the cat(s) and call it a day?

Oh lord this is gonna get crazy lol. I was afraid of that. The DP would probably need to come off. I will use it sparingly until a dump valve or 2 can be installed. Actually I like the idea of having some test pipes fabbed up so I can swap them in myself after inspection. Thanks for the advice

In the spirit of helping the people on here that still haven't transitioned to VEMS, here is Marc's advice on how to spot if you've fried your chip that controls launch control:
"you can easily test your inputs to see if they are working. go to view->groups->analog inputs raw. this will show you all of your input channel voltage readings. some of them should be sitting at or near 0, some will be sitting at or near 5v. the ones that are sitting at 5v are the ones you use for launch control. when you ground one of these inputs, you should see the 5v reading on the live display go to 0 for the corresponding channel. hope that helps."
This was hugely helpful in my venture to troubleshoot my "problem." It wasn't actually a problem you see, since when the vehicle is not running, the light for launch control in VEMStune WILL NOTT light up. So keep that in mind when you go to figure out a problem with you aux in chip in the ECU.
I was able to watch my channel 2 voltage drop from 5 v to 0 V when I was initiating the L.C. circuit so I figured I had better start the car since I had yet to check it while running

Thanks Marc!

My actual data from the voltage page in case anyone is curious: "It goes from raw 5 v and cal. 255.xx v to 0 v for both readings."
Now I just need to take a dump before the cats

Is 0.96 Lambda at 146 kPa safe during launch control use?

I'd try and give it a little more fuel than that, but I've never really paid much attention to lambda when using launch control. I'm not sure the reading would be worth a damn anyway during that.

I didn't have the heart to do that on pavement and actually in this video was the first time I went 100% throttle so the boost cut startled me at first so I let off. Im also told it smelled pretty bad lol

Oh it absolutely is lol. It's also how I fend off ppl pulling a ft from my bumper at lights. Am I the only person that that scenario chaps my ass?! I really can stand it. A couple months ago I got out at a light cuz a guy was LESS than a ft from me. I waved him forward with a smile and symbolicly showed him how much closer he could get before his vehicle would be able to occupy the same physical space as my car. I have an unusual way of dealing with idiots

. Inertia is my only gripe. Take that out of the equation and you have 100% safety and on-a-penny stopping power... except when drivers fall asleep.
Anyway I did the smoke show twice today to 2 separate SUV's and everyone around me thought my engine exploded and I was laughing hysterically when they looked in my window as they drove by.
I don't think my cats will out live the summer
PS if you have extra passenger side HOOD HINGES I would be interested in purchasing upon receipt of pics. Thanks and I'll post a WTB as well

Yeah, the whole 1/2 car length stipulated in the traffic code is something I try to adhere to... never know who drives a manual that may rollback. Plus it's just a courtesy thing.
Hope you melt a few bumpers in the process of educating n00bs lol

I went to our local mall and parked the 200 and walked to 2 different shoe stores today. In the 90's and had full boost prior to parking the car outside. 2 hours later I'm down to spring pressure thinking "we'll that's not the usual punch-in-the-groin quickness I'm used" and "that's a strange slow I've not known in quite some time." 9nly getting 7 psi since then. I think the weather, the heat, over 150 k miles, and launch control ate it alive. Gonna throw one in with even more miles on it lol! Guess I'm in the market now

Did the n75 and restarted the car and dud the launch control and as soon as it hit 10 or 11 psi I stopped as I thought it was fixed. Went out for a boost and it's back to 7 psi! I knocked on the cats and heard no rattling. WG seized? I'm working on it...

Probable a boost leak. They aren't as evident when you're on vems. It'll just be slower. Make sure your afr is right at that boost because you may never have times that part of the map.

Ya you're right I didn't think of that at first. When I mapped my fuel tables initially I did try to make it smooth with the transitions. I hope that helps in the lambda area where I'm not usually boosting at. Does this sound like my 034 DV could also have lost its grease and finally started sticking on this hot ass day? I'll look it over just to be sure

034 BPV needed greased again. that's my biggest problem with their bypass valve!

So that fixed it or what? All piston type DVs require regular maintenance.
