Have you or do you plan on setting up the fault code stuff? I would highly recommend this, especially in the early stages of getting the car running. It can be super helpful and save some headaches :)

Pretty easy as well. I'd DEFINITELY recommend it with CIS.

EDIT: Well obviously seeing as it only works with CIS. Where the hell was I going with that one?

Take the light normally used for the seat belt light. Attach the ground for that to the correct terminal. Put in CEL bulb spot.
BABOOM she's done.

Smart move. I actually used a spare defrost switch and made it that when I flipped it on the fault code sequence started. You could easily do the same. I made it a habit of checking weekly for the first number of weeks, just to make sure things were going smoothly. Id drive for a while, come home, flip the switch, and hope for 4444 :)

I imagine I can just provide switched +12v to the light and the ecm provides the ground correct?

Well too dark to take a vid lol. I drove it to the shop in pitch black with no headlights. My instrument panel wasnt lighting up either. Car has a real nasty misfire. Not sure why. Had to stay off it as much as possible and the cooling system needs bled.

Would the car still run if I didnt get a good solder on one of the pins in the ECM prom socket?

My guess is an intake leak somewhere but we all know how that goes. I have tomorrow and the weekend to work the bugs out.

However, when It did feel like hauling, it definitly pulled hard.

Congratulations on the first drive. Dont be scared, I dont think any first drive goes off without a hitch or two. The first time i drove my car it had a HUGE vacuum leak(actually the first 3 or 4 drives) that made it so bad i could barely put a load on the engine without it dying. That made it really fun to load up on the trailer a couple times. Had to rev the snot out of it and slip the crud out of the clutch to get it to move. Finally found a hole in the intake that the original DBW TB coverd up but the Q45 TB didnt. Tapped, and plugged it then it ran much better. I bet you do have a vacuum leak, or something like your vac line to the ecm is pinched.

Im gonna go over everything after I pick it up from the shop tomorrow. It was fun getting it there with no alternator hooked up lol. I dont have the brake booster hooked up either so yeah..... Basically a harrowing 2 mile drive wondering if the tstat opened up. It made it! I guess thats whats important.

Can anyone answer me if the car would even run if I messed one or two pins up on the ecm? I feel i did it correct and well but you never know

LOL, reminds me of my first drive. Got halfway down the road and BOOM, no power, car died. I apparently didnt clamp down the MM hose at all :). Not to mention I didnt fully tighten the engine/trans bolts

Nice and ditto on the first drives usually have a few bugs and gremlins showing up. My cut o-ring on the water manifold held at idle, but decided to dump all the coolant two miles from home once I had got on it a few times. New engine overheated, freshly painted bay with antifreeze all over, and stranded on its initial run to get fresh gas in the tank. Hang in there!!
