For ducks sake. Injector 5 stuck open when ECU is connected. With ECU connected, 5 shorts to ground. With it disconnected and key on it doesn't go to ground. I'm *slightly* frustrated. I'm hoping i can assign a different output for it and bypass the whole fet. I just don't understand wtf is happening because Jason said it was good to go.
Sigh.

Bit of a development. I took the ECU apart to see if I could find any shorting out and found nothing. But I did find this:

If you compare that to my older "Fried" photo:

You can see that an ignition driver is missing. Made a mental note, took a picture, and then I reinstalled the ECU. Woo! #5 isn't stuck open! So whatever was going on isn't anymore (WEIRD)
But now I have a new problem. #5 has no spark. Tested the systems by swapping connectors at the coils, and verified coils/wiring etc. is good. I'm wondering if it has to do with the missing driver (HUUUUUUH). And, can I swap pins or splice some wires to use a different ignition circuit?
On a positive note, the timing was way off. I really don't know wtf was going on with the old settings but I moved the TDC after trigger by like 16. Not sure if that's in degrees or what, but now it's bang on - 1 degree (as close as I could get to 0, non-adjustable gun) is just a wee bit advanced on the wheel. Perfeeeeect. So now the car runs great. On 4 cylinders. Fak.

Just got off the phone with Marc. I can just repin to an unused ignition driver. It wasn't replaced because Marc took the driver out and then Jason took over the operation, so Jason just put it back the way he got it. Really not anyone's fault and it's an easy fix. WOO. Tomorrow... maybe. Need happy wife first.

Back to square 1. Injector 2 and 4 firing at the same time again.

Is the ECU bad? Or do you have a break in the wiring somewhere that's causing an issue?
Super frustrating, Matt... sorry you're going through this! I feel your pain right now.

Lol mage. Last test today (when I get home) is to swap my coils to our running parts car, swap the ecu over and see if the problem follows the ecu. If so, it's off to Marc to be replaced under warranty. If not then I've got some annoying troubleshooting to do.

Does the harness test as sound (no continuity between channels)?

The video is my ECU on an Scar (tested on two different cars). But before that test, yes, we isolated and tested everything.

I prepped the car a little last night for when the ecu comes in. I'm going to test the injectors before I try to fire it up. I might try replacing the ign. switch tonight, we'll see how much free time I have.

if it gets tight on time I can replace your ecu with one in stock here. they started sending out ship notices for some other stuff I ordered so chances are good you'll have everything in time. I'll have an update for you via email on it soon.
