what's the offset of the wheels? et 35 or so as you said they are gonna rub on the fronts? not sure if its much different on the 90's than the coupes, but there are guys running 18x9 et 32 or so with 235's and no rubbage on inside or out... and you've got flares too eh?

18x9 ET20 and hoping to run WAY more than 235's. Probably more around 265 or 275. No flares yet. I was looking at the 034 ones but the red coupe that just posted pictures did not impress me at all. Back to the drawing board....
Calipers from the front of a porsche boxter, A8 (first gen) front rotors that are vented and slotted along with a nice prototype apikol brake bracket. There will also be a hydraulic ebrake just like the one in Hap's 'green Monster'. Brendan at Apikol suggests nice parts! Also need to flip the bleeder and cross over.
Working on fenders now. Also got some 275's mounted up. I'm worried that they are a bit tall and might need to get a lower profile tire. Fenders are based on a 944 turbo.
There is a local guy here that made them up for some mustang. He is going to spray up another set that are a bit thinner so I can bend and blend them a bit more into the body. They are way too wide as well so I'll be trimming it back a bit. I really like the 'old school' boxy look rather than the curvy stuff out there.
For the front I'll probably graft onto some factory Audi fenders similar to the rear. If lots of people like them he is willing to make molds, etc rather than me just doing a one off job blending the ones he already makes.
Been a bit slow on progress these days with other projects going on. I did manage to get a seat tacked in place and the pedals in. Pedals can move forward or back. Basically three settings, forward an inch or back an inch from the center location. We took some steel tubing and welded it through some square tubing for the pedals to bolt to. That way the square tubing would not compress when the pedals were bolted to it. We welded 5 tubes in for each square support tube and then reamed them for a nice tight bolt fit and then milled them square top and bottom. Came out nice. I have the pedals elevated so the articulation of your ankle works for the bottom pivot pedals. Once the cage goes in I'll add a panel to rest your feet on and a dead pedal.
Hard to see but the holes for mounting can be seen here....
You can see how the pedals attach here and the bias bar for the brakes. A remote bias knob will be added to a panel for switches and such.
Added a couple more support bars. All done...
Seat moved back... might be a tad high at the moment but just tacked for now until the cage is in.

Problem with dropping it are two things... I'm kinda short and moving the seat back starts to reduce visibility along the hood line. Right now with helmet on I still have 1-2 inches to the roof. I agree though, I'm thinking it is a bit high.
