Ok, so I've done some detective work with the clutch and 707 is the right way just as PRY4SNO suggested. :)
However, the sachs catalog tells to use 881861999875 organic plate with 707 and I can't seem to find sintered plate to go with 707 that is 240mm and has 24 teeth as 999875 plate.

Decided to try and use the triggerwheel on ACV crancksaft.
Didn't find any how to or BTDT on this from the web, so maybe not so smart to go this road but we'll see.

Can anyone point me to a direction for typ44 belly pan/engine shield?
Could C4 or typ85 shields be something to consider with some modification?

C4 would probably be a good starting point... I used a C5 belly pan on my C4 with minor fettling.

Driving this thing for 2 weeks now and some 1500 kilometers (930 miles..) with no hiccups what so ever.
Got the stroker block from the machineshop, waiting for head to be ready. Might start to assemble the block slowly..

Bought a maxxecu race ecu and waiting for the swedes to get them made, should get mine with aan harness in about 2 weeks.
Getting the ecu and the car to run with it is prio 1 now as the engine swap will most likely be done in the winter..
Maybe another dyno after ecu swap to see how much was lost..

Took a look at current ecu and found out some electrics needed some attention... .. so I made new 3B wiring harness to AAN ecu adapter.

There were some Audi S6 ecu judging by the numbers, I took a look inside but didn't dare to mess with the boards..
The more I find this stuff, the more I'm amazed it even runs..

Also took care of the jamming brake master cylinder problem that the car had last summer 'cause turns out it didn't fix it self during last winter. :bangshead:
Finally no more jamming brakes!
I love the damn thing, even though it eats all my moneys.

This thing is slowly moving on as well.
Been super lazy posting lately, but then again been lazy with the engine as well!

Just mainly throwing more and more € towards it and hoping for it to build itself..
Seems not gonna happen so here's mainly where we at:

1. Old engine and trans out, all of the pistons have substantial side rocking at tdc, explains the blow by?
2. New bottom end mostly assembled with everything new and in upper end of clearances
3. New head mostly assembled as well, needs some sensors etc. small stuff before fitting to block
4. EFR turbo changed to GTW garret by recommendations by experts, GTW3884R on shelf waiting for the head to find it's place
5. Tube header waiting for EGT nipples, downpipe for BN-Pipes 2x2.25 full system and maybe a heat wrapping as well?
6. Engine needs some wiring for VW Lupo 60-2 trigger, typ44 1T electronic throttle pedal + 70mm RS4 throttle plate (WOT shifting at 1/4 mile)
7. TDI 01E next to go in and needs flanges to be made between trans <-> mounts, linkage and sub-frame mounts (+new engine mounts) done and done

Some little things along the way that needed refreshing and now installing:
1. Heater core. I was getting some coolant fluid smell earlier, not sure was it leaking hose at the end of block or the heater core. Decided to renew as "while in there" mod. :hide:

2. A/C radiator. Old was leaking apparently and broke when removing. New one super expensive and available through Audi Tradition only, I found some other part no. from some typ44 German forum, will confirm the fitment once I get there along part number.

Send me some €€€, as this thing eats it all... :wah:

Purdy... the coolant passages in the block are awesome - are they going in the head as well? Dad wanted to do that very much on his "to be" stroker build.

Yes, they are in head as well. 4mm x 4mm with a round milling head if I remember correctly.

This thing started with a new heart today.

ACV 2.5 tdi block + 7A head and cams paired to Garret GTW3884R 62/64 and 01E from a tdi A4 B5.
I have to say I'm quite happy, this is the first engine I've built from scratch and it started right away. :)

Ran it to temp and re-torqued the head studs.
Some more wrenching tomorrow. :P
