they say in their literature that they can take up to 12 degress of misalignment, but i try to build everything as straight as i can directly after the coupler and then make bends where i need to etc.

Nice dude that is going to be sickkkkkk.
I have suspicion that with a little work the mkII flares could look really good.

They could. And they aren't thrown to the side completely just yet. Depending on how well I can finish the fenders body filler/sanding wise I may HAVE to cover them up, lol.
The only major issue is the rear on the door, even with Jetta flares which I have, they are too thick for that section of the car. You'd have to either trim them or cut em apart and graft a section of them onto the door.

True I didn't really think about where it meets the door either way you look at it defiantly alot of work.
I want to smooth the rub strips on my 80 and I thought that is quite a bit of work, you're in deep pulling the fenders it will look good though

Why are the 1st and 4th exhaust runners so much longer than the middle two?

just how things ended up going together to be honest. im not too worried about it, the other manifold was even worse as far as runner length differences and that made 648hp @ the wheels quite easily. im not shooting for much more then that come spring time.

LOL! Yea, I'm sure it'll do fine, was just curious if there was any reasoning behind it. With that sort of power the Cobras and GT500's will be put on notice.

255/40/17 is the tire size. I actually had to redo the front edge of both fenders...the side closest to the front of the car...because the tires rubbed a bit.

You can actually see in that picture it looks like it tucked in behind the tire, but it was rubbing. The car would roll, but you couldnt fit a piece of paper between the rubber and the fender.

what are the general thoughts on having the rear look fenders look like that....yet leaving the fronts alone. they are already b4 fenders, and the tire/wheel combo fits just perfectly as is. if ANYTHING they could come out of the fender bit more, which i may just put the CQ hubs on there that i have which would add about 5mm out. its just that the rears obviously dont have that vertical edge anymore like the fronts do, i like it but its tough to see that car as a 'whole' only being able to view it from a few feet away in the garage.

Did you end up getting your speedometer working? Mine has been dead since I put in the 1.8t. I have a feeling there was a mysterious ground I need that was in the 5 cylinder engine harness.

Still havent gotten it working sadly. It's an aftermarket speedo as well, I'm not sure if you're dealing with a stock cluster or not. Id like to think my issue may be the non resistor plugs I run, we shall see come spring time.

We are already accustomed to mismatched flares on the b3. So at first glance most people aren't going to notice. The stock b3 cars have practically no flare in the rear to begin with and the front is much bigger.
I think they are gonna look great, form follows function and all that.

The other issue on the B3 rears is the general size of the wheel well, it is 3" smaller in diameter than the B4 front. So unless you go through what I have, just flare it out and make it work.
