WTB: '91 200 20v power steering pump.

Post by MHCAudi200t »

What's up everyone,

I finally caved and took my 20v to the shop that did my 20v swap. I just don't have the free time I use to have.

So I need a power steering pump that's in good condition. Let me know what you guys have?

Or does anyone know if I can use the power steering pump off the 20v?

Thanks in advance!

I'm currently running a 5000 pump on my 200 without a problem. The only thing to be weary of is the low pressure hole on the 5000 pump has less surface area, but mine has been running fine without any leaks. Conversely, if your pump is just leaking, you could "rebuild" it with a seal kit, pn# 026 198 049B available from autohausaz. There's a guide out there on Motorgeek I believe, and it's in the Bentleys, but it's really not all that difficult to do.

Does that mean I can use the PS pump from my '90 20v while I rebuild the one on the car?

Thanks for the part #, I appriciate it! I'll get that ordered today.

Ya, that's exactly what he's doing - maybe he can help link the article if you have trouble finding it (I couldn't)
